TLDR this is the BEST qr code reader. NO ads. FAST. Simple and does the job. I went through over 15+ other qr code reader apps on android, and all are infested with ads, slow, popups and useless features. Only downside is that the camera view is stretched vertically but this doesn't affect the lightning fast code reading at various angles and ranges.

Have been using this for months since I found the post on reddit. Fast, easy, and no ads. The one thing I would love to see in this app (or a separate app by you) is to be able to scan images in storage. I know it's a privacy thing that people aren't comfortable with giving access, but it's just a convenience that I want to have.

I have tested it (because I felt that it deserved to be due to developers reply on my last ratings of this free no ads app). It IS Free with ZERO ADS. Finally! This is something Everyone should have for their business needs and personal use. I've created some for myself to use and it reads alot of different types of barcodes. The only thing is the limited use of total character length which I believe is to keep the QR code feasable when being scanned. I'm not a developer (wish I was) A Keeper.

Excellent app. I've installed and researched 20 of free, no-ad apps available on store. I can tell this one is the best. Can preview multiple QRs and barcodes simultaneously while scanning. Can recognize QR up to version 40, which is maximum, faster than any other apps, thanks to google mobile vision API. Most of all, it is very app for people who care about privacy. Requires camera permission only. The developper uses 'share' method to save generated QR without SD write permission. He's genius!
Make Name Acceptable Go
Every app I've tried by this Dev is well designed. Settings well set up. 👍👍 Older review: I like that it doesn't try to jump to a website, the copy to clipboard is safer & more practical for me. Original review: Simple and does what it says. Just to note: This just reads the codes and lets you save/share them. No online search for items etc.

It's not perfect. The camera is distorted, the UX could be better. BUT it's working, it doesn't ask for any permissions and no ads in it. Thanks for writing that app!

Exactly what I was looking for. Ad free. Only camera access. Vision Code Scanner provides option to copy link to clipboard if you don't want to open your browser right away.

It scanned the barcodes on the boxes so fast without needing to adjust my phone's focus . I haven't tried it on restaurants menu barcode yet I hope it works as fast .
