There are 17 levels of play (15k-2d) for all the board sizes. Crazy Stone has improved not only in strength, but also in his style of play and the lower levels are perfect for players who want to learn the game of Go.

* IAGA Rating Certification Test
Challenge the Dan/Kyu tests provided by the International AI Go Association. You will be awarded certificate images if you pass the tests.
(You will need to register an AI Game Account to challenge the tests. Registration is free)
* Export and import sgf game files
You will be able to import and export game records in sgf format from other apps. Also you can copy game record data to the clipboard.

This app is amazing. One small issue though: when copying a game record to the clipboard, many (not all, but many) of the moves recorded are one space away from where the move was actually played. As an example, two games in a row my first move was R16, and it got recorded as Q16.

most fun go app ove found for beginner-intermediates (ddk-sdk). cant comment on ai quality above that. visually nice and has choice of input controls, plus quality of life features like take-backsies. avoids some of the dismal modern ai strategies and offers classic games if you want them. would like to get rid of the ads, and customise my board and ui.

Playing 9x9 the AI is more like a puzzle. Once I figure out the right moves I can play the same moves and the AI will respond in the same way. However, the harder the AI the more variations, but still possible to predict its moves. The paid for version fixes this. I would like to see when editing the game for it to just add a variation to the board or at least rewrite the sgf. Right now if I edit the board, when replaying the game it only goes back to place I started editing. Thanks.

It's an absolute garbage game. The game itself is fine. But the heavy load of ineascapable advertisements after every single game make it very hard to play. Even if you exit the app and come back, there is still 1-2 ads to watch before you can resume gameplay. If it were $2.50 to simply buy the game and skip the ads, id do it in a heartbeat. But $2.50/ month is an absolute rip off. The AI is not the best for a GO sim, but for a phone app it's pretty fun. Wish they could solve the ad problem.

This is an excellent learning tool and a fun pass time; would give it a 5 🌟 rating were it not for the requiring a monthly membership for even an offline (no ads) version; I understand the fee to access online (cover their overhead) & my spyware app says there sharing our very private data (last name, location, ph#, ..., even screen orientation🤷 with Google and other similar data with Amazon & 2 other companies I didn't recognize) something like 108 times in 6hr after I first checked it.

I enjoy playing against CrazyStone as a 10 kyu player, and I believe it is helping me to improve. Its playing style feels different from non-deep-learning Go AIs like that of "Go Free". I wish there were a paid version because I find the ads that play after every game very annoying (and less intrusively as a banner ad while playing).

The quality of the AI is excellent, and will provide all except the very best players with a serious challenge. However, recently the advertising has become much more intrusive and distracting. The providers need a serious rethink if this app is to stay on my phone much longer.

I've gone from knowing some basics (30-20k) to about a k6 with your great app. I take screenshots and analyse the boards & use undo & to compare my idea with hint AI's suggestions which led back to understanding why joseki were important back when i first learned about Go as Baduk. Dont know if it's feasible but as for CrazyStone as a tool, only thing i can think to say that would make it a better learning tool is if there were txt bubble option for hints (why the AI is suggesting a move).
