This app worked great, til it didn't work at all. I've tried everything I can think to connect it to my computer including running all updates and even reinstalling both VLC and the remote. I've tried pairing on multiple devices. I've tried manually pairing. Nothing. There is also NO way to talk to the makers of this app for help and support that I can find. I really do wish I could give this app 5 stars but right now it is flat out broken and totally unusable.

Useful, but: - I prefer not to install the helper and configure it manually. - The IP address is a problem, but I changed mine to static to make it work. - After some time playing it goes into some sort of sleep state, then controls stop working with the phone locked. When unlocked if you try to rewind or fast forward the video, it goes to a very earlier position where the sleep state began.

For some reason this, once well loved and worked without any hassle nor confusion app, malfunctioned and stopped working all together as VLC remote for the program on the compute (even if yiu are on the same exact network and have a comparable android device). Not just this ~ lite ~ version of the app doesn't worm, all the other ones stopped working all together as well!! Has this really became the very last of the good times with,once dependable and the BEST media player to use??

Just what I needed!!! I tried four different apps and was struggling just with getting them set up but this one was super simple and easy and I'm impressed with how well it works. And it had a feature that lets you fix whenever the audio is out of sync!!!!!!!!!

Pointless. You can't pause video and cannot play from folders. I have the paid version on my phone and was helping a client over the phone, they said the app doesn't work. I just tried this on an old android phone and sure enough, no pause option or play from folders. Only option is to pay £2.89.

Im extremely happy with this app! One problem I started having with the latest version/new phone[s22], was that i couldnt change the drive from C:/ to any other drive when browsing amd clicking "..". I suspect a NPE is thrown somewhere.. otherwise amazingly useful tool!

I had this set up in 5 mins and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Only problem so far is that I haven't worked out how to switch subtitles within the app. If i can do that then I'll pay for this whether i need the added features or not because this is exactly how i want to shop for the apps i need. Thank you for this. Much better than trying to do it through remote pc. Edit: VLC won't play subs when casting to tv so it's not the app's fault.

App works great now. I had it installed before restorong my pc and after that for some reason, even with vlc remote helper I couldn't get it to pair... but about 5 months ago something updated, either windows or vlc remote, and they've been happy ever since. I wish I could control web players with it lol
