I gave 5 star rating, now it is 1 star. After updating the KT apps today, I can see new themes. Unfortunately, it is not comfortable to read the news, which I have summarised below for your consideration of my suggestion. KT News' theme was unique from other local newspapers earlier. Now, it looks like Gulf News. 1.Earlier news images can be seen once we tap on the picture, and we need to swipe horizontally to see the rest of the photos. Now, we can see only one image after a tap.

The new app crashes more than it works..ita really gone bad to worse. The look and feel is also made complicated to say the least. Unfortunatly its a long way for khaleej times yo come close to apps from other global news channels. Very bad performance..if uopen prayer times or gold rate, it crashes in 2 seconds. If u open couple of news links quickly it crashes.

3 Mar: Reader's experience on new app is ruined. The ease of use became worse after the update. Requires so many taps. No swipes. 12 Feb 25: Major update and completely ignored dark mode. Still no dark mode after so many upgrades and feedback

Not comfortable any more. When clicked to a new's link from alert panel, wrong news comes in front and making uncomfortable to continue reading the news. I even recommended my kid to install and read Khaleej Times in home country but if this new layout with the cross links will continue will ask my kid to stop and uninstall this app.

I am using khaleej times for daily as news report but new update is not good I was using this app from almost after I come to UAE but the new update is confusing old one was better.

What happen after update ? A notification received can't open related news

I can't stop annoying notifications. Uninstalled. Update in response to the developer reply: it's not the audio, which I did switch off, it's the fact that I can't switch off notifications completely. These annoying things pop up, on top of whatever I'm doing, then leave icons in the notification area. I'm quite capable of checking the news myself and don't use notifications on any app.

For se weird reason, even though the sound settings are switched off, there's always every few minutes a sound from the app that's very annoying and disturbing. Not the first time and not only on one device. I tried it on a few other devices too and it's exactly the same. Shame this hasn't been fixed for this long.
