The main idea of app is awesome! The greatest and useful thing I've ever used. Motorola rocks! ➕ 1. Nice visual style 2. Music control as additional screen (unfortunately it doesn't work with AIMP player on Android 9) ➖ 1. Horrible navigation because of rid of swiping (it was awesome to swipe down for dismissing and left/right to hide notifications). Also confusing to see 2 "dissmis" icons for alarm (one may assidentaly press wrong) 2. Music control doesn't work with AIMP player

After disabling this app my phone stopped lagging like crazy, especially right after turning it on if it was inactive for hours. Before it was barely responsive and unusable for good 10 seconds. Now it just works as it should, no more random slowdowns. Battery life has also improved! This app isn't useful to me anyway.

Rating 1 star as a flag for the devs to get this new version as functional as the previous one, with: 1) dismiss button at the bottom of the screen, not mixed with the action buttons, like reply or else, since it makes dismissing notifications less intuitive; 2) buttons takes longer to react to touch as opposed to previous version; 3: a little too fancy for a functionality that's supposed to make you spend less battery.

The update makes the Moto Display prettier, but even less useful. When moving from my Moto X (2013) to the Moto X4, I already lost the pulsing notifications (so, I regularly miss notifications because they'll only show once, and I need to activate Moto Display with a hit-or-miss handwave, or simply turn on the phone, to see if I missed something!). Now, this update has caused two further downgrades: (1) the option to dismiss a notification by swiping down is gone. You now need to put your finger exactly on the dismiss icon which is placed at a different location for each app, wait (!!!) for the display to catch up with you and highlight the dismiss icon, and then let go. (2) the moto display uses the same notifications as the phone itself. It used to be that I could swipe away a WhatsApp message from the Moto Display, but then still see it when I unlock my phone. Now, the "dismiss" function actually removes it from the phone's notifications too. I subtract 1 star for the lack of pulsing notifications, another star for the new difficult way to dismiss notifications, and another star for copying the phone's notification system on the Moto Display. The sad thing: they are all regressions, things that used to work fine!

It's a good option than having a battery draining Always on display. Should have added more watch faces, and an option for always on (if anyone wants to : ). The fact that this is very sensitive to slight jolts and keeps waking up the screen, you can turn this off and instead turn on "Lift to unlock" feature. You will get to see the lockscreen but it's more productive this way (pls add double tap to wake 😔)

UPDATE: Just noticed that the Dismiss option was relocated. I agree with others that it was more useful to have below the icons! Fantastic UI. I cannot overstate enough how useful the Moto notifications are. I simple love how you can wave you hand over the phone to view all notifications. And with a simpe swipe, get a preview. Especially useful for texts and Arlo camera alerts. THIS is why I keep buying Motorola phones. I'm not aware of anyone else that has a similar notification app.

I like the visual and aesthetic upgrades. But it seems like functionality took a small hit in the process of upgrading. This is petty, but with this new upgrade I can't swipe up on any part of my screen and turn the screen on/get past my lock screen. In this new update, it's like if i don't swipe directly from the lower middle of the screen it won't let me open the phone. It's tedious because before this update, I could swipe up anywhere on the screen and it would open my phone.

Meh.. Nice, but a few problems. Needs a sensitivity feature.. I feel like the lightest vibrations from it being on my desk wakes it up, which is annoying because I then think I got a text, but instead it was just me moving my mouse. Plus I have it on my bed during the night, so whenever I move a tiny bit, it lights up my room. Quite annoying, but pretty useful at certain times.
