Whenever I use this app, I set it to "listen" but it keeps shutting off after 2 min. I have to start it over and over. Very frustrating.

I like the convenience of the app over using the website to listen to the news or programming, however the sound quality with the new app is not good. Perhaps it is my phone, a Google Pixel, but the sound is rather tinny like an old transistor radio. There's also some feedback. I have uninstalled and tried a couple of times but finally just decided to go back to the website.

The content is ok, but the stream stops everytime I get a phone call and doesn't autoresume. once stopped, I have to pull out of the phone and restart the stream. Then it will play a leapfrog commercial each time. So bad I am forced to listen to NPR from another city. also when you tell Google home to play WABE, it pulls the classical music instead of live stream. get your sht together WABE!!

New problems pop up. When listening to daily or weekend updates, the app resets back to the beginning article whenever you turn your phone screen back on or open the app again. Last couple of weeks whenever I try to listen to the entire Weekend report on demand for Saturday (doesn't do it for Sunday oddly enough) it will only play the first story over and over even if I try to choose another article.

FOR GOD'S SAKE WILL YOU PLEASE JUST FIX IT ... it's embarrassing you! For over 5-years & 4 different devices, this app has been continuously unreliable & now repeatedly shows the pop-up "Unable to play due to a network error" with no indication of what the actual issue is & doesn't attempt to reconnect. All other apps continue to work when this happens, which seems to indicate there is an inherent problem with the WABE app.

This app plays with a sped up audio that often makes the speakers sound like munchkins. It also stops for no reason and the story flow is interrupted. I've reinstalled the app, but the playback is still poor. Why has this not been fixed by now? I refuse to financially support a station that can play it's content properly and well.

I listen to the live morning news with the app. Very frustrating when it stops playing in the middle of a news story due to a network hiccup. It generally never reconnects on it's own, and by the time I can get it playing again it usually forces me to listen to the startup sponsor ad again. After all that, the news story I was intently listening to is long over. Also, please add DARK MODE support to reduce battery usage and screen burn-in.
