If you want to get started with XMPP/Jabber, this is probably the best app to use! There's a simple, phone-number-based sign-up procedure, and you can automatically get contacts based on your address book. And it comes with all the goodness of Conversations included. The downside is you can't choose your server or manage multiple accounts. But in that case, you're probably ready to move to Conversations :)

I like the concept, very simple setup and its nicely polished from my limited usage. The name is terrible though, I just hope my wife doesnt see it on my home screen and think its some kind of casual dating app.

Please, allow Quicksy account to be used on Linux Desktop (Dino messenger). I've tried to use the credentials from Quicksy on Desktop but failed to authenticate.
