One of the better minimalist launchers I have used, it combines features I consider valuable: dedicated phone, text, music, and camera buttons on the home screen while also allowing access to an app drawer. However, I wish for a few things: the option of automatic light/dark mode depending on the time of day or the system theme, the inclusion of a search widget on the home screen. Cannot find the "Contacts" app for some reason.

It does the job in terms of reducing use, and the segregation of apps into usage is nice, but I'm not sure why distraction-free launchers must always use a list-based interface and be lacking features? I want to use my phone efficiently: that's also important, but no app shortcuts means I delve into apps more often. Lack of options means being stuck with ugly. Too basic to be worth the price, sadly.

The design is great and definitely helps limit time on my phone. I don't love the shaming approach when you are getting into one of the "dopamine drawer" apps, and I'd prefer if the app encouraged more positive mindfulness. It also made it too hard to see my calendar, which turns out is terrible for my brain and I missed a couple of appointments as a result. And, had to uninstall thru the play store instead of thru local settings. Might be good for someone else, but not for me.

Very happy with this app. I have almost completely stopped using the apps I wanted to minimise. The developers are very open to suggestions to changes and are constantly keeping me aware of any updates or features. There was an initial learning curve to find certain apps when I needed them, but this didn't last long and has been worth the investment in time for the overall gain in minimising my phone usage and doom scrolling.

Awesome mostly, the guilt trip to stopping me from using my addictive apps and the tree growing are really effective, but it would be nice to hide apps that I don't want to see at all. Definitely does a lot more than most minimalist launchers. Edit: I only used this app for a month due to a required subscription. I personally am not, but if you're willing to pay, this app is the best you can get for digital minimalism

Minimis is the only minimalist launcher that has transformed my phone habits. For the first time, I feel like I control my phone, not the other way around. The added friction layers between you and those "bad" dopamine-stealing apps work brilliantly. You even feel guilty thinking about opening one! Minimis has changed my life. My focus strengthens daily, my baseline anxiety has dropped, and I get more done. My brain feels better overall, like in the "good old days" of the 90s, I feel calm. :)
