Says I'm connected, but no information coming through. That was a couple years ago. Day forward to today and it still doesn't work. It won't even connect to the WiFi. It said stay close to the device and it can take a few minutes. LOL. Left my phone on the grill for a half hour and it never connected. Never had any issues with the old app and my Moto Z4. New app on Motorola Edge + had NEVER worked. Not once!

App is ok but has issues: 1) MAJOR issue is WiFi connectivity issue, wasted 3+ hours trying to connect WiFi, turns out WiFi name and password total length has to be less than 16 characters. I had to rename my WiFi just got BBQ app to work 🙄🙄🙄. Even if this limitation sucks, it's NOT DOCUMENTED anywhere so frustrating. 2) BBQ always starts in °F, needs to be changed every time you turn it on. This really sucks because temp graphs don't understand different units so graph drops when when change

it does the job but is missing some key features. There should be a low temp alert to warn it the fuel is either out or bridged. Even my cheap Amazon bought Bluetooth thermometer has this. There should be an alarm outside of the phones notification when a probe temp is reached. Also, though I use the custom setting for the probes, the item based ones are too limiting. Another issue? The off button for the grill is too easy to accidentally press and has no 'are you sure' requester.

Gravity 560 smoker is just great. Gave 4 stars about the app because it is missing an alarm feature. It would be just perfect if the app could alert you with an alarm when your desired temperature was reached (for example on long smokes it would be helpful if an alarm could go off in the middle of the night to wake me up if the temperature I want is reached).

When it works, it's not bad. That said, it has gotten worse over time. Now, it takes forever to connect to the smoker, when it finally does, it takes multiple attempts to accept the changes to the temp I set. Have tested on multiple wifi networks so it is clearly not the router that is the problem

It's great when it works. But it seems like every couple of times I use my smoker I'm having to go through the connection process all over again. 9/10 times it shows that the smoker is connected, but the remote will not activate. I love my smoker and love the app when it works, but the app is just flat out unreliable. Fast forward to years later, an app update has made this unusable.......again.

Poor app. Very difficult to connect to, once connected keeps disconnecting. When working good, nice to be able to pop out and still control what is happening at home. Suggestion, on graph divide it up in 20 or 50 degree increments, rahter than some odd number that makes it hard to decipher. Added a star because Masterbuilt here have replied to help me through the issue. Also, BBQ Galore have been good offering to help and send me a new controller for the smoker.

What's the point in even having an app that never works? This app never works. If you go through all the steps to set it up (4-6 times for it to work) it will work once and you'll have to do it all again, every time. It's so terrible. Worse is it will tease you like it is working by sending preheat notifications but the app itself won't connect so you have to sit WITHIN EARSHOT to monitor temps. Better to get stand alone remote temp sensors
