Quite easy install/setup on both Smartphone and PC. It's also really convenient that you can move the camera to anywhere within your local wifi area since it's smartphone, but you maybe need holder, tripod, or something like that so the camera can stay still. This app is really useful if you haven't had camera on your PC and want to use camera in urgent situation. Unlike the previous version, you can't use the phone as mic only here, but customization camera is better here. Thx for making this.

Had it working perfectly at one point for hours, then after closing OBS, the broadcast on my camera went dead and only showed the ip address and said it couldn't reconnect. I've tried many steps of uninstalling, excluded from firewall etc tried connecting via usb. I noticed that when it was working, it would only send the broadcast to one screen, either the browser or obs but not both. I've tried restarting phone & obs etc - nothing works anymore.

Works awesome. Used to stream live 4K at 10mbps at a 2 day rodeo for about 5 hours each day to OBS running in a fiber pop over WISP wireless infrastructure. Originally had audio cut out, and video drop, but that was due to using a VPN across local LAN to the OBS. Which passed some firewall rules. Once created a separate vlan and wireless network name for phone s24 ultra to connect to, ie flat network from OBS to phone, it worked flawlessly across 3 km of 2x60ghz links and a local 5ghz !WOW!

The fact it has USB and good Wifi and integrates directly with OBS makes this the best of the "use phone as webcam" tool out here. Some lag way too much. Some don't have great support. This one has been around. Version 7.1 is years old and well revised. I love it and use it daily. Plus - It's Canadian!

Better than Camo Studio Pro. I just canceled my subscription after 3 years and am just using DroidCam pro for only $15 lifetime. OBS has much more functionality and is more stable that Camo.

Disappointed to find out Samsung devices are limited to 30 fps after I purchased the pro upgrade. While it is in the FAQ, I wish they couldve been more upfront about it. Also I wish we could share pro upgrades between ios and android. Their support basically ghosted me as well when I asked about this.

Just bought the premium for highest quality, I was planning to buy a webcam for my laptop but they cost a lot while quality of the webcam is trash. I have decided to just buy the premium which uses the quality of my phone's camera and also a support to the devs of this app! Side note: I used virtual camera in OBS Studio and used the source of DroidCam OBS Plugin. Thank you, this is a life changing app for me.

I really love this new look of droidcam, the video resolution is more refined, obviously its to be expected to sometimes have pocket loss during usage but its buttery smooth. This is my first time leaving a review and this app deserves 5 stars. If you need an alternative to a webcam try using this app!
