Fluke may make great optics, but their software is always lack luster and leaves you wanting. This is no different. The handshake between the ONE and the phone (I've tried 2 entirely different ones) is finicky at best and wildly unreliable at worst. I try to break it out as a cool gadget to lead into further diagnostics, but end up spending 15 minutes looking like an idiot while I try to get the app to match and work instead

Fully charged and perfectly functional FLIR One Pro. Months ago when I last used the device, it worked fine. Now, although the app recognizes the same (fully charged and connected) FLIR device is connected to the very same smartphone (Note10+), nothing ever appears on the screen. A 2nd smartphone device = same story. Who ruined this brand with a "software upgrade"? Never doing anything FLIR-related again...and I'll be sure to let everyone know.

They purposely hold back features that work for more money. The flir one is perfectly capable of displaying the ir scale but the hold back the feature for the pro model. A few days ago there must have been a bug in the app because my flir one had an option to display the scale and what do you know it worked perfectly. Why is this held back from us if the hardware is capable? Stop crippling your devices to extort more money.

App seems to work ok. Sometimes it takes up to 30 seconds to connect to my phone. Its not the end of the world, but a little annoying. One thing I cant figure out is why sometimes the button to display the high/low temp bar shows up and sometimes it doesnt. Ive clicked every button in that app and there doesnt seem to be a hidden feature somewhere, just the button sometimes shows up and sometimes doesnt. Kinda annoying. I will say 11/10 for not requiring an account to use it. Thank god for that.

I've used my flir and this app a total of four times in the years I've had it. It never worked well, but now it doesn't at all. I do complex tech work, so I thought it would pay for itself, by saving me time troubleshooting, but at 4 times before going belly up, I wish I would have saved my money. I even fix things like this, but I see no way to do this, nor have I tried. The battery seems charged, after all I used it FOUR times. It flashes green and nothing!

The app used to work with my Galaxy S5, but since updates occurred the app no longer works. I get the error: FLIR Tools Not Loaded, the other error message is and Failed to load calibration data. The worst part about it all is that I had to load Thermal Camera For FLIR One in order to use my FLIR ONE!!! That's a DA** SHAME! the FLIR spp won't work with a FLIR ONE device! And the best part is that the Thermal Camera For FLIR One has NO watermarks!

Edit: After a couple years without updates, FLIR released an update to work with the latest Android OS. Now I can use my Gen 2 FLIR ONE again. Minus one star for the years when I couldn't use it and another for the poor battery life, although thankfully it can run on an external battery. Next time I'll probably opt for an all-in-one with replaceable batteries to prevent these problems.

FLIR ONE PRO It never worked, & has been a paperweight. There's many others with same issue of FLIR refusing to power on or charge...just an orange light. Should have been a recall. Luckily I found a better product, designed properly for Android that just works. Search for InfiRay Go. It works every time you plug into phone and has much better refresh rate. Was absolutely no reason for Flir use a separate battery. Design mistake. InfiRay doesn't need a battery, just works.
