PhoneLeash app worked very well forwarding my texts while traveling internationally. I was able to leave my cell phone at home and receive my texts when I connected my computer to the hotel internet or wi-fi hotspot. Especially helpful with getting 2 FA authentication codes to do my online banking.

I've used Phone Leash for a number of years and have found nothing else that works as well. I use it to transfer texts from a work phone to my personal one so there is no need to carry 2 phones. It was easy to set up and easy to use. I would highly recommend it to anybody looking to forward messages. It handles both SMS and MMs messages with ease.

Coming to the end of an annual subscription and won't likely renew even though this is an invaluable service... it worked great for the first few months 98% reliability but in recent months it has been very sketchy, TXT replies via email no longer work 95% of the time ... they just disappear from your outbox and never show up in the txt app ... oh wait months later they randomly start sending in the middle of the night!!! (and the same ones over and over) ... If I refrain from replying via email the service is better ... until someone sends me a PXT message ... this stalls from coming to my phone for hours, and blocks all subsequent notifications that came after it till it arrives ... clearly the issues are with the back end services not the app ... but it still makes the service unreliable, and you can't run a business with that sort of communications uncertainty ... sad because if would be a fab system if you could depend on it!

This app has always worked really well. It's the simplest way to reply to texts from a computer, using their forward to email function. Sms is a big part of my work flow, and this speeds it up dramatically. I searched hard for this type of app, and have found it very reliable over many years. Thanks to the developers! Edit: still working perfectly in December 2021 It's great for going overseas if roaming is not a good option - get voicemails converted to text, and receive all texts via email, and reply at will. Works for me.

I have looked high and far for a good app that would forward my sms from my personal phone to my work phone and finally I have found it. Now let me clear some things up for you re re's out there. You can download a 30 day free trial then if it has worked just the way you expected to then you may pay for the app 6 months at a time. The price per month is very reasonable very. Email technical support for setting help...ur good 2 go!! This app exceeded my expectations. Kudos 2 the developer!!!!

NOTE: Currently the app crashes every time I send or receive an SMS! One of the must-have apps until it changed to a subscription model that bypasses Google Play. Oh, and an expensive subscription model at that, too considering how little data SMS messages contain and I rarely ever send or receive MMS due to the high charges these invoke in New Zealand. It's like the developer is trying to recoup his original losses from his old pay-once model when he really should have considered this from the start. Personally, I'm OK with a subscription model as I understand the infrastructure costs involved, but one has to cut one's historical losses and not pass them on with outrageous subscription fees. This is how you frighten away your customers, that, and by bypassing Google Play and providing poor support. Talking about poor support, the developer systematically ignored my hugest gripe I kept e-mailing him about until he changed to the new model at which stage it got implemented. Not nice. Other that this the user interface is awful particularly as one must step through the setup wizard every time. I've e-mailed the developer about this several times, but, as with even the most important issue, he ignored me. This is not the way to run a business.

This is a completely honest review. The application worked perfectly. The telephone from which I forwarded text messages was in Milwaukee, WI. I was in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I did not lose a single word from any of the nearly 150 texts sent to me. I was very satisfied the previous time I used the subscription service and it was perfect this time. I paid a one month subscription and had no issue canceling when I no longer needed the service. Easy and convenient to use.

So this basically does exactly what I want it to and I'll totally pay for it when my trial is up. The one thing I wish is that the texts being forwarded to the other phone number would appear in the same conversation as the other phone's conversation with that person. Instead, it's just a single stream w/ all the texts from everyone in it, which could make finding a particular text on your other phone harder. Assume there's a limitation to prevent this. Too bad. Would be perfect otherwise.
