When it works, it's great! I got a 'there might be a problem with the server' issue continually for the past few days which seemed to be solved by uninstalling and reinstalling. Obviously this will not be ideal if it keeps happening, but once reinstalled it worked very well for a long ride.

clunky, laggy map despite being downloaded to the internal memory for offline use .really obnoxious to make complex routes with this....practically impossible without using the pc browser version. Still offers quite some value for free. Handled my GPS pretty unreliable though often, wonky ,despite device being calibrated ,it wants to send me in the opposite direction too many times. OSM doesnt have that problem. Google Maps is terrible at that too.

First time trying this and very impressive so far. I like the dimming between turns to save battery. The search and navigate to are excellent as are the turn notifications. The route planning needs an "undo"to remove a mistaken entry or screen tap. Only minor thing i don't like is the "look ahead view" it needs your location to be a little above the bottom bar so it's visible and not hiding.

It's good for making routes and for short journeys but it destroys the battery when riding. Google maps will last for 5 hours with the screen on. This lasts just about an hour. I'm aware that I can dim the screen until a turn, or whatever. Wrote to the developer asking about whether I can improve the battery life but got no response. Cancelled my subscription. If the battery life was improved to make it usable I'd probably give it 4/5 but right now I can't use it for distance.

When I'm planning a route and my GPS signal moves around due to I guess inaccuracies, the app very quickly starts to give me directions. I do have 'Start automatically' turned off. I don't use the app for turn by turn directions while actively moving, and the directions while planning are distracting. Maybe a dedicated button to start giving directions, if so desired, could be an idea?

After reading a negative review about creating routes I upgraded to the latest version. This is a relatively new app under constant development. As a supporter of cycle.travel and receive regular emails from the dev, Richard, and access to OS maps. I found route creation in the latest app intuitive and less confusing that other apps and websites. the interface is uncluttered and smooth. I recommend regular updates features are constantly added an bugs fixed

This app is suggested on my phone to open every kind of file. Where previously there was only one option (eg reader, photos, word), we now have cycle.travel appearing in the list for every type of file as far as I can see. It's presumably a setting that just needs to be turned off.

It's a handy app, but I'm a little disappointed it doesn't show the same trails as the website version. the app makes me travel 23km when the web version picks up the trails through the woods and cuts the time in half.
