Tag itself is fantastic. Software is garbage. Using the phone to find the tag works great as it uses the inbuilt software in android. Using the tag to find my phone is broken and it is this feature which requires this broken software. Yes I have disabled battery optimizations and have selected "run in background". App does not work when you need it. A month ago, I sent Motorola an email but they did not respond. App has been updated and now works. Updated review to suit.

As a Find My Device tag, it's been fine. Does the job. But after multiple attempts to get the v2.0.35 Firmware update to actually install (took 5 attempts despite claiming success each time), the Remote Shutter feature doesn't even work. All set up per instructions, permissions granted, etc. Using a Samsung S21 Ultra and the standard Samsung camera app.

Love these moto tags but still waiting on UWB support. Updated to the latest software version 2.0.35 and the camera button features were supposed to launch with software update but it keeps on promoting me to allow background battery usage to unrestricted which I have and it still doesn't activate the feature. Now getting even worse. Bought these tags in late July and late August. Battery on both have ran out. Replace them both 2 weeks ago, now one of them are saying they have low battery again

Moto Edge 2022 and moto p11 Pro gen 2 tablet did not work at all. I just upgraded to a moto edge 2024 and it works well so far. both phones had android 14. I think stuff like this is just non functional with Mediatek chips. So it looks like this and other odd behaviors with my device i will be staying away from Mediatek devices now. they are at best shoddy hardware and drivers

Was anticipating the shutter button feature but doesn't work and it just keeps giving my the same notification over and over every time I try to snap a picture "would you like to take a picture?". Seems like it's not detecting my camera being open, also tried two different camera apps.

Latest app update wants me to enable permission to battery usage, settings - app - battery usage - unrestricted. Android 15 on pixel 9 Pro xl doesn't have this option. It's just allow background usage, which I have but app still thinks it's off!

Currently needs major firmware update as its only doing GPS location tracking and ringing. Missing UWB precision tracking (Google hasn't released) Phone ringing doesn't work and camera shutter or programming button not available yet. Huge potential but if you need all functions now your going to be very disappointed. I'm still keeping it & hoping it will all be released in 2025🤞

All good with the app! Some factory reset button would be nice. It took me some time to reset my tag and repair it with my device. (The instructions on the web about pressing 5 seconds were not aligning with my experience). Regarding the tag not being shown in find my device web page, it seems to be on Google's side. Hopefully they add tags in web version in the future so you can track from a PC.
