This app is better organized than the other local news apps. BUT I have problems with the articles not loading when I click on them. I end up closing it, counting to 3 and clicking again. Sometimes it takes doing this twice, and sometimes it doesn't work at all. This is about 50% in "top stories", but 90% in the "latest" category. Despite this issue, I still use the app bc it's the best of our local news apps

This makes the second time I've updated this app that I lost the weather information. The only thing I can see is the interactive map. Now have to use my other weather app again to see information about the weather. Since I updated app I don't recieve notifications at all now, even though I updated before the date that push notifications would stop if I didn't. This app has went down hill with the last 3 updates. Time to switch to another news app that actually works.

2 stars for inconsistency. The article headlines don't always provide a link to the actual article. After clicking on said article, it takes you to a blank page. You need to hit the back button and then click the article you want to read, again. Repeat this step 2-5 times to either see the article you want to read or give up and try a different headline

The app is fast, responsive, and customizable. This is my primary source for local news. Frequent notifications keep me abreast of what's going on, even if I just look at them without opening (though make sure to open the app at least once daily to keep these coming). You can visit the app to watch the news, watch recorded news stories, peer through local webcams, or just read the stories. There's enough content that you can pick your medium and keep up to date. Autoplay can be shut off.

The latest update has removed a lot of the weather information, namely the daily and hourly forecasts. I am not going to use two apps (news and weather). This may be a glitch with the new update, or it may be permanent, idk. I'm just tired of the updates. The app gets worse and worse, and requires more and more permissions every time they update. Why mess with what was a good thing? I'm switching to The Weather Channel app, ABC11, or AccuWeather.

This app crashes almost every time it is put in the background despite the fact that it is running on a relatively new phone (18mo old Galaxy S22). When it's running, I did like the app, but it broke the final straw this morning when, all of a sudden, it started demanding access to my Bluetooth devices. For Pete's sake, wasn't it already collecting enough information about me!

They've fixed doppler wake maps issues. However, it is too many clicks deep to get to doppler maps. Using no pictures option to just get news headlines, the headlines on the front page seem less applicable to me. Need to be able to specify in settings a start up page (if it can be done I can't find it). I was using wral app because it was much better than WTVD app. Now there's not much difference.

The app has become extremely frustrating to use in the last year. TechWire articles won't scroll properly: the screen lags badly which causes it to swipe to the next article, then when you return to the original you have to start at the top all over again, slowly scrolling to avoid swiping. Images also will not allow you to zoom in, which makes reading embedded weather maps or other images with small print impossible. Was this even tested before rolling out??
