Very fun game when it works. The dots are cute, and the UI is intuitive. Overall, it's an appealing game, but it struggles incredibly to consistently work. It will lock up on the login screen and force me to reinstall the entire app to play. The AR features could definitely use some work. The game doesn't seem to have almost any idea of depth, and it really struggles to tell the difference between grass and flowers, or sand and dirt. Otherwise, it's a cute, fun little game (:

Fun game, but dot card uploading is completely broken. Any time I try, the app just crashes to whatever screen I was last on. Some patterns are also very, very broken, dot models occasionally break with some poses/animations (especially babies), and sometimes the particle effects/animations go into a hall of mirrors that completely covers the screen and causes eye strain. But the over-monetization issue is gone now, at least! Or better, anyways.

started when they came out. stopped playing shortly after the blight thing came out since it made it unplayable, in my opinion, and it was getting harder to find new archetypes. Restarted two weeks ago because someone told me they had ironed out the kinks in the blight thing. It is easier to catch the blight dots, but I miss the showcases.

This game started great, but the abundance of chaos traits and the lack of any substantial new updates (archetypes have vanished and I really miss them) have made this game feel bad to play. I miss when the game has something for me to focus on. Though they have made the game more f2p friendly, the game now feels meaningless.

As nice as the concept is, the core issue with this game is the lack of substance. I can't do much with my Dots, and the things added often don't work properly or have any purpose. The Talk function is totally useless. Chaos traits also look like they've been literally generated by an algorithm and they've been too heavily relied on for far too long when we could be getting actual new traits released. And that's on top of the endless sea of bugs and glitches that don't seem to get fixed.

It's fun for a few days. Then it gets very, very repetitive. Also, drains the heck out of my battery and makes my phone get hot. For a game that is supposed to be played outdoors, it is hard to see. I've tried on my Pixel 7 Pro and two older iPhones. All are hard to view in the sun. I feel like there are things they can do in the software to help make it more visible. Hatching was a little complicated at first. I feel like it would make more sense to send a picture of my peridot.

As soon as I started this game, I was hooked. It's adorable and I love the interactions. It's a bit tough to get to habitats very often, so it can be hard to do all the tasks. But not a huge deal. A little harder to deal with is how quickly it overheats my phone, resulting in the app closing if I don't shut it quickly enough. They've now added the ability to get nests in game so I'll be staying. Many of the people are friendly and I don't have to spend money unless I want something extra.
Musical Mystery
It's ULTRA Cute. And much of the design is good. But there's not enough to do. It is also a huge design flaw to lock off a major part of the game (breeding and hatching new Peridots) behind an excessively greedy paywall. It needs to be like Pokémon go where the game isn't limited to playing just an hour or so each day until there is nothing to do. Buying things should also just be optional, like POGO, for those who want to advance more quickly, NOT be mandatory.
