Makes absolutely zero sense this app is not available directly on the TV. I don't want to cast to my TV as casting is a secondary action in the absence of app. Bell Fibe TV app allows customers to download the app to watch TV and their recordings directly on the TV without additional boxes. Rogers doesn't have this and that's a problem where this app isn't an adequate solution. Create an actual TV app, charge alot less since no additional equipment, cords and outlet is needed.

Live streaming and recordings used to work really well with Chromecast dongles, but these streams no longer support HD, and they no longer maintain watch progress - it restarts each time you cast. Also, there's still LOTS of buffering when casting to the built-in chromecast on Android TV, even when the internet connection is strong enough to handle 4K. Would prefer to install the app directly to Android TV like you can with the Bell app. Also, On Demand content glitches frequently when casting.

This app is absolutely useless to watch live sports/programming unless you don't mind burning your data plan. Even with a strong wifi connection (100+ mb/s) the live programming just gets stuck buffering. If you're a Canadian sports fan just use the Sportsnet App and login using your Rogers credentials lol Update (Sept 12/24): I didn't think it was possible but the app actually got worse. On top of the above, the app crashes every time I try to switch from favourite channels to all channels.

You'd think for all the money Rogers charges its customers they'd have an app that functions at the least. Will not cast to any of my 3 Chromecasts. "Something went wrong"... and when it does work it's for a few minutes until it freezes and boots me off. Of course, I'm running on Rogers' wonderful internet, modem and router. 🤡

Following the recent update to the Chromecast built-in app by Google TV, Ignite TV is currently experiencing casting issues to televisions. I'm using version 8.5.2.7 of the app. My device is an S23+ running Android 14. The issue is that when I try to cast to my TV, I get an error message on my TV. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing storage, uninstalling, restarting my phone, and then reinstalling, and the issue still persists.

Extremely unreliable. When it works, it works less than half the time - for streaming live, playing recordings or on demand. Same result on wifi/mobile. Tried all the troubleshooting options up to uninstall/reinstall. Hasn't worked for weeks at this point. Guys, spend more time making your app work instead of rebranding.

I don't know where to start... rogers/shaw ensured me the app would be available on my android tv's at home, I have a fairly top tier tv's from different brands across the house running on android and the app is simply not available for any of the tv's. The Telus tv app is available on the app store and is not as highly restrictive as the rogers app so fortunately for me I can cancel rogers and go back to telus.

This app takes way to long to cast from my phone to the tv and now it's not casting at all. I've been waiting for something like this from rogers for a long time. Bell is so ahead of you get your stuff together and make it better Rogers. Also make a tv app as well what are you thinking.
