It is really inexcusable that there isn't a way to add flights to your calendar. this is a really basic feature for a transportation company. additionally it's frustrating that every time you leave and go back to the app (which you must do in order to manually add the flights to your own calendar) the app pauses to reload and says "retrieving your reservation" regardless of if you only leave the app for 5 seconds. it's just annoying.

I've never used an airline app that makes it so difficult to see boarding passes. That should be the most functional part of the app. There's no simple 1-click option to see a boarding pass. You have to go to check in, then check in (even if you already have), and then you can see boarding passes. And if your screen shuts off, the app makes you go through all that again. That's 2 steps more than should be necessary. Terrible functionality.

Normally great, buggy update I usually love the Southwest app for everything from booking to boarding passes. Dice the most recent update (as of Oct '24), however, the app will no longer load my boarding passes; it just "thinks" interminably. This is, of course, very inconvenient and means I've had to get my passes printed at the airport. If this bug gets fixed, the app would get 5 stars.

I've flown with Southwest for almost 10 years! The app is just like their service- the Best! It's very well integrated with customer service, and provides up-to-minute information which is critical to a frequent traveler. I use them almost exclusively when traveling to any of their destinations. I once flew with another airline, my flightvwas canceled; I had insurance & they out me on the next flight out- on Southwest, lol. That was my confirmation, they're for me. I refer everyone

Do not like changes to the app that did not retain previous payment information, passenger information, and doesn't populate my Rapid Rewards number. It requires you to go look up your RR number in the middle of booking a flight. Oh, and not liking the much higher fares. I'm now looking at other airlines instead of just defaulting to Southwest.

It's nice to keep track of trips, but I have yet to successfully book a trip with it. It errors out before the purchase goes through and I end up booking online. Yesterday, it errored out at the payment because the airfare rate changed WHILE I was booking and they wanted to charge me $5 more per flight. VERY frustrating.

This app is missing basic functionally provided by competitors' apps: for example, in Southwest's app, I can't save a confirmation number booked elsewhere as my flight so I have to retrieve the confirmation number and look things up again every time I want updated information....or even info I already download, which can cause problems in airplane mode. Also, I did not see any airport information, such as flight gate. This app feels more like an ad than a useful set of features.

Love the airline, but the app hasn't been able to load my boarding pass for 4 months. It just eternally spins on "retrieving information", whether I'm at the airport or at home, on Wi-Fi or the network. EDIT: I had to uninstall and reinstall the app before it would work. Now it's perfect again.
