It used to be a great app, but lately it's been going downhill. I miss the English ([CC]) subtitles for things like GoT, HotD etc. They used to be on the app, but now we have all languages to get subtitles for except English. It's also suffering from constant buffering, during which the subtitles just disappear. Please fix your bugs.

What a scam this is. Since Eurosport stops broadcasting tennis, I purchased HBO Max to watch Roland Garros, works fine, although much more expensive. Well, it doesn't work on my Android TV, but okay, Chromecast works. Now I want to see the US Open, and I suddenly need to purchase a Sports add-on for 5 euro per months??? Well, okay, I really want to see the US Open, so I buy the add-on. Only to find out that I still cannot watch the US Open. Total rip-off, cancelled it all.

So I need to pay a subscription to watch, and then I will still get ads unless I pay a more expensive subscription? Also, I love how the ads are placed right in the middle of an action or when something interesting is happening in the movie, totally ruining the immersion and the moment. It's not worth it.

I can no longer change the look of subtitles, on the old hbo max app I could. Booooo. How hard is it to build the same functionality in another app. Also now I have to pay more Edit: couple of months later issues have still not been fixed. Previous features on the old hbo max are still not here or not working right.

I changed my review to one star because the app is annoying. I connect to tv via chrome cast and play series. When im done, i pause it and close the app and stop the tv. However when i come back to watch further again it seems i have watched the whole series already. ANNOYING. FIX IT PLEASE NETFLIX IS WAY BETTER AT IT

The perpetually thought that I'm offline and the slow, unconnective, unresponsiveness have finally, after many many m.a.n.y years, been fixed. However, they've been replaced with a bug that throws me completely out of the Android OS towards my lockscreen whenever a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g (tab/button/link) in the app is touched, making the app still hardly workable. Why can't a billion dollar company not hire someone capable, to program something decent? Hire me if need be, for crying out loud!!

Buggy app. I have a spotty Wi-fi connection so when I loose my connection I would expect the app to try an reconnect instead of just bailing out and loosing all content. Downloaded apps are still streamed over Wi-fi and playback stops when my Wi-fi drops so what's the point of a download? You have to go to downloads and start the playback from here to force it to stream from the phone, which is so weird. Expected behavior is: start playback from anywhere; apps should stream from the loc storage.

OK app but getting unwanted ads. I paid for the version with no ads, but still I'm getting ads for their own shows. Other than that it's an ok app. Missing a skip intro/ recap when streaming to Chromecast.
