Masterclass itself is good, but the app is terrible. Hard to navigate the different lessons of one Masterclass, as well as the different classes available. Next to nothing useful for personal profile/progress. A glorified video watcher that doesn't even work; videos can't lock in one position and keep flipping between vertical and horizontal,which makes watching videos next to impossible.I put my phone 'lock-orientation' and it glitches(works with all other apps). Phenomenal. This is a really fantastic app which provides input from world leaders to help you rethink your approach and horizons to reach your version of success. P.s. is there a way that you can make it so it will records that you've watched the lesson even when you've cast it through chrome. I love seeing my class complete going up but this doesn't work when I cast it. Thanks!

I have so many issues trying to stream this app to my Chromecast. I'll get 2 minutes into a class and it freezes (not to do with internet as I can stream everything else just fine). It's so frustrating Edit: 29 Nov 2024. Still issues with streaming. Stops working after 4 mins and freezes, sound cuts out. Only works when played via mobile device which doesn't suit everyone. They've received similar feedback over a year ago and nothing has been done to fix this. Won't be renewing my subscription.

Lots of good content, but the Android app is quite buggy, especially when using just audio. Difficult to navigate between a class you are watching or listening to, the class page, and the main front page. Sometimes the audio continues playing even after the app is killed, or after you have switched to another audio source.

Love it. Good UI. App is always smooth. Ratio on various machines (TV, phone, tab) have all been smooth. Great for doing on the treadmill. Wish I can download for offline playing like Spotify, and Netflix, then I can use it on the plane also. Some very interesting courses too, better than watching Netflix.

Casting always freezes. Tried it on 2 different tvs. Its clearly an app issue cause i see multiple users having this issue. No clue when or what it initiates. Need to kill the app multiples times *Half an hour later...i cant even cast and watch an episode longer then 5 min... currently watching on my phone. What a joke. *Hour later...keeps on freezing

Awesome content but poor app experience when casted on Chromecast using an Android device. The casted videos get stuck after 3-4 minutes of play. This has been a problem last year 2023 too and that's when i cancelled my subscription and gave it a try in 2024 again. To my surprise that problem still persists. As a workaround i open masterclass on a PC's chrome browser and cast it. But did anyone else report it to the app developers? Can someone fix it?

not able to cast to smart tv the app is not great keeps buffering, practically unusable. I can see from an online search that this has been an issue for years. masterclass should have sorted it out by now , according to my searches this is due to masterclasses inability to switch to.lower bitrates. netflix and co have figured this out. app is unusable to me I'm not keen on only watching on my phone.
