FIX THE APP for goodness sake. Are you kidding me? I have deleted it and reinstalled it every time I've had to use it. And sometimes even that doesn't work. It opens up the icon when you hit the app, and then doesn't move forward to sign in or anything just freezes on that screen. Delete, reinstall, maybe it'll work. If it doesn't work again delete again reinstall and so on. Ridiculous.

Absolute garbage. As with all NYS sites, the account is impossible to maintain. Once your password expires, it is nearly impossible to change. If you forget your password, you might as well delete the app...locked out forever. On top of that, there is now a 14 character password requirement along with all the tradition requirements. It's like trying to sign into a multi million dollar investment account.

Used to work... When I originally downloaded it it worked well for reporting tags and showing your license privileges. Hasn't worked right for the last couple years. Trying to look at most anything returns an "invalid" error. To purchase licenses you end up being directed to the Kalkomy site. Can't believe with all the money we spend on licenses and tags we can't get a decent app. It worked great when first launched.

Its a simple app. It manages your licenses and tags. There are links to the regulations and to the website. I had no problem logging in or accessing my licenses. It works as advertised. I am only giving it 4 stars because its still early August and I obviously haven't harvested anything this season. If everything continues to work and the system doesn't crash once hunters actively start reporting, I will upgrade to a 5. (Samsung S10, Android 12)

Terrible experience so far! Cant even get started. First you have to go to the web site to register (so your'e told but it appears you can register at the app itself) and the only selection is to purchase a licence, there is no option for current holder. So under "licences held" I put in my current licence # but apparently there is no creoss reference to what licence you do hold! Then, the app immediately freezes! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. What would I expect from NYS!

The recent update is great. I think others have expressed password maintenance issues in the past which I also encountered, but it seems the bugs have been predominantly fixed. Excellent info source and accessibility to licenses and regulations. Makes navigating to specific info on the website much simpler. Keep improving it!

Downloaded the app to report a harvest. Unable to login. Username and password don't work. Try to register and it tells me I already have an account. Login through the website with the same credentials and it works fine. Go back and try the app again and still fails. May as well just use the website. Webpage layouts on mobile browser for HIPS are awful but at least I can get logged in. If you want people to be better about reporting their harvests you need to get these issues resolved.

*Edit* App was fixed eventually. I still get errors from time to time that it can't connect. You need to log out then back in* App won't sync with new accounts, DEC is aware. I've used this successfully in the past but since DEC changed DECALS, users have to create new DECALS acct. This app only recognizes old acct. It shows previous reports but not current license year tags. When I try to sign up, I'm redirected to Kalkomey to my currently active and signed in acct. A major fix is needed here.
