Pictures is not viewable in portrait mode, especially if I shoot in portrait mode. It is always in landscape mode. We should have an option to choose how we want the pictures to be viewed. There should be an option to choose portrait or landscape mode for pictures. And also a tether mode should be wherein pictures will be automatically displayed right after every shot, and only pictures will be shown. No liveview to show. Timelapse mode error in "display next picture" need to be pressed always

Works well, once connected. Documentation could do with some better explanations of how WiFi connections have to be set up with Canon cameras. It's far from intuitive and although not the developer's fault, this app relies on the user understanding the nuances of Canon WiFi options. The huge range of options means some icons aren't particularly intuitive, so needs reference to the manual, but overall probably the best app for controlling cannon DSLRs remotely.

I got this for my Nikon D750 and it is great! Reading negative reviews made me a bit apprehensive but for me it exceeded my expectations. Note though that in order to connect the camera to the wifi you need do this separately out of the app first and also disable mobile data. Once those are done it connects straight away and holds the connection. I shoot Raw+Small JPEG and the small jpegs transfer to my phone for image review. Well designed interface, quick to pick up, highly recommended.

Great app. Just learn how to use and configure it - read the docs on the author's website - before you get frustrated and leave a bad review. I've used qDslrDashboard with various Android devices and Canon cameras over the years. Anytime there's been a problem, it's ended up being a hardware issue - such as a bad USB cable or weak Wi-Fi signal - and not a problem with the app itself. If you need help, ask on the forums.

Outstanding app! Worth every penny! With a simple usb tether, I can EASILY control my Nikon D600 used for video creation. I set my camera on a tripod, auto-focus, record me - simply- without a second person. White Balance, f/stop, shutter, ISO, exposure controlled from my phone which also doubles as a monitor. Compete game changer. I can see myself using it for long exposures and macro work as well.

I use one of my old phones with qdslrdashboard to connect to my D800, then connect with WiFi Direct to my current phone and use it to remote control the camera for things like self portraits. It's not perfect but many times better than any brand remote app I've used. I wish downloaded full resolution images didn't get mixed up with the .jpg preview files as it confuses other apps such as Google Photos. I don't want to sync previews to Photos, but I do want to sync downloaded RAW files.

Works great, packed with useful features, nothing else like it! :) EDIT: Still using after 2 years, still great. Perfect for fine manual focusing, especially for night sky photography as able to zoom into brightest star in frame and micro focus on that. Takes a bit of learning, but anything worthwhile usually does.

It mostly does the job. When bracketing it can't handle long exposures (and long processing times) and gets confused. Often seems to randomly change the exposure on Sony camera. Stopped working with Sony a6000 and a6100. Still connects and can do live view but can't shoot after latest update. Used to be able to save bracket profiles. The dialog comes up and you can enter a name for it, but it doesn't save.
