I'm enjoying this little app. It has an intuitive design and is simple and easy to understand. I tried several, and the more expensive ones seem to have a big learning curve. What I miss the most is the ability to collaborate with my friend, who reads over my writing and gives me ideas for improvement. Also the manual sync seems old fashioned and even a bit dangerous (possibility of overwriting to an older version), but that's even acceptable.

I don't typically leave reviews for things, but I just wanted to state that this is the best free writing tool I've used on android. I have Scrivener on my PC, but this has a comparable suite of features. For productivity, I hooked up a Bluetooth keyboard and keep my phone where I can't easily see the screen. It's fantastic in that regard, as I tend to editorialize while I'm writing. I haven't really run into any issues with Novelist. I recommend giving it a go.

great app. Love it. Please return to turquoise app logo the new one looks like a calendar reminder. I also dislike the new UI. it was so easy to navigate before now its just a jumble of words on all the panels. I muched preferred the app before the update. I would gladly pay a 1 time fee for the old version and less attitude.

I have really enjoyed this app. The features are everything I want and more for writing short or long stories. I love the plot sections feature for adding in thoughts for when I have time to write them into the story. The preview, export, and backup features would be fantastic, if they were more user friendly. An instruction manual would remedy this shortcoming, and easily make this a 5+ star tool for aspiring writers.

Unable to submit questions from desktop/web version because I use Gmail and it keeps trying outlook which I can't seem to configure correctly, the End keys jump to the top of the document and Find and Replace jump into editing text after each keystroke. So much easier to type and edit on a keyboard that the same functionality of the app should be tested to work on the browser version for desktop.

I loved this app, I been using it for two years, mostly for planning. This redesign however, what a drastic change, the new icon is no where near as memorable and just makes me think of November. on the landing page you can't see the album cover through the white box element that's holding the title. It's just all around kind of ugly. please give us an option to use a different font at least, it looks like everything is in bold, and that tanks the readability. Makes me not want to use it.

Wonderful app for those who can only, or just prefer to, write and publish on their phones. Beautiful interface. Rivals Scrivener when it comes to organizing backstory and notes. Autocorrect automatically adds smart quotes and other formatting items as you type. Find and Replace makes editing easy. No true import/export features and limited sync, but that's a small thing given how powerful this free app is in other areas. Highly recommended.

I'm quite enjoying this app, but sensitivity of the text picker is completely different using this app compared to other apps in the scenes text field, which makes editing text *extremely* frustrating. Two critical features missing from this app are automated backup to cloud and automatic local backup of a whole book to a defined file location.
