I've not read the bible before. I've tried the book and so many different apps that were great, but too much fluff to many distractions. I found this app to be simple to read, and I can heart the parts I want to go back to or don't understand and then find out more. Works for me. Being able to use off-line is big, plus as I'm in remote area and often loose service. For the first time, I'm actually enjoying getting to know the bible and being able to listen or read awesome. I love this app. Really good male voice reading. It sounds just like Alexander Scourby. If you have no time to read ads they are really easy to bypass. You just click on your Bible and it opens up. I love the fact that I can use it off line with no WI fi. I did go ahead and purchased the upgrade where you can also read the Bible. It's such a good deal and after using it a couple years I wanted to help out.

This is a clear, simple, easy-to-use app for the listening to, and/or reading of, the KJV of the Bible - brilliant! For $20 one can use it off line, ad free. The timer is easy to set and remembers which chapter to resume playing. It works well on the Samsung Note 9 phone. The Bible is read by the late Alexander Scourby, an actor, who was baptized as a Greek Orthodox Christian. He originally recorded his reading of the Bible in the 1950s and considered it his most important work.

The app is okay. I paid for the lifetime option so I can use the timer. One major issue is that there is no way to turn off the Bible. Only one way to stop the Bible from playing and that is by using the pause button. The app remains open in the background. So the Bible comes on on its own, at anytime. I have had to uninstall it, because it has come on unexpectedly many times. Kindly look into this issue. Thanks.

The app just quits playing for no apparent reason. I think the last time was in Colossians. It also stops if I move the phone from upright to sideways. (Wich may be caused from a control screen orientation app) just a guess; very frustrating in any case. As far as when it happens... it's random. Other than that this is my go to Bible app. I love it. Thank you.

Finally found one that isn't dramatized, and plays all day. I listen at work (which is allowed by management), accomplishing 2 things, one I hear the word and two I drown out the noise of the shop. I can also wake up several times a night so having the word playing calms me. I have probably tried two dozen other apps, this one is a home run. Yes After trying it I paid for ad free. However the unwanted timer constantly resets to turn off in 15 minutes .
