The ads.... I just watched a 30-second ad to watch a 12-second clip. You get unskippable extremely long ads before any news clip, no matter how important. I do like the notifications (up until I click on one and have to watch aforementioned ads), and I like the actual anchors. That's about it so I'm deleting.

The app works, but it's slow, takes a long time for live weather feeds to load, and you have to wait 20-30 secs-it feels like, for an ad to play. Of course the app uses a lot of battery just playing an hour's worth of weather feed. When you're in the midst of severe weather and you're looking for updates as to when the tornado will pass by, you don't want to be looking around the app for the live feed, and then when it finally opens, you have to wait for an ad to play. Bad user experience.

I gave up local news yrs ago. Terrible, exploitative, racist frankly. When Covid hit, I started trying local news again. 11Alive is seriously the best--fact based, very little editorializing and sensational garbage. Surprisingly I've stuck with it. Really the best local news, even better than national news (gave that trash up yrs ago, too.) This app is pretty smooth and easy to use. Could use hella fewer add pop-ups.

Why merge your 11 Alive WX weather app with this app?? It was perfectly fine but now giving up features like future or past radar and only 5 cities versus 8 cities before. This app does NOT have half the weather features as tge previously separate 11 Alive weather apo!. BIG mistake 11 Alive to combine the two apps for weather!!

The app is good when it works properly. Many times I tap on the story notification that pops up and when the app opens, it takes me to a totally different story and I have to search to find the article I was trying to read. It's frustrating.

I hate the new app. The old version was so much easier to use. The new one is hard to navigate and find the stories. Yes, it runs more smoothly, but that's the only improvement. The new video-heavy layout is terrible for someone that prefers to read the stories quickly.

App takes too long to start, scrolling is very cumbersome because the app tries to scroll up while the user scrolls down. Far too many long video ads compared to competitors. Stories repeated multiple times wasting users' bandwidth. App development was very amateurish, many standards ignored.

This is the first time I ever written a review for an add. usually I wouldn't take the time. this app has so many adds that you cannot finish reading a story before Amazon or Samsung pops up and takes over your screen. good riddance to 11 alive and its pop up adds
