Near perfect! This app is fast, efficient and simple. Oh, and it has night mode thank heavens! The two things that would make it perfect are: (1) formatting of the definition (for example indentation is numerals) and (2) cross referencing words (for example the definition of prudence includes the word sagacity which would be super cool to just tap on and walla, one is there! Then tap back to return to they previous definition etc).

Used to be good. The new themes do not work well. The default theme mode does not respect system default and enable dark mode automatically and the setting's menu is always in light mode; why would you add a white gradient to dark mode!? Also, why in the world do I want you tracking what I look up? Please remove this or allow disabling history. I don't care if the stats stay local only, I don't appreciate tracking of my history.

I don't like it at all. It is not simplified. One has to spend a lot of unnecessary time searching for definitions of a word when it seems to me that if the application had a search bar where all that you would have to do is begin to type the words and as you are typing in the letters words would begin to appear in anticipation of the word/ words and either type in the rest of the letters to the word and then once the word appears tap on the word for d the definition/'s. My phone is telling me this app is no longer compatible. It's still working, but I would hate to lose this app in the future. please keep developing it. I think you should include a donate button in your app for those that want to help make sure it stays around.

Thank you for not being a money-hungry developer. Considering that the KJV and this dictionary are both "public domain" (meaning no license is required to publish or use), idt people should charge for either, whether by ads or actual payment. Thank you for not charging. My only request is to be able to move it to an External SD-Card. Not really a big deal, but it would be convenient.

just downloaded this because the 1828 Webster dictionary website won't load, thinking the app would work. I typed in a word and clicked the magnifying glass and nothing happened. nothing in the whole app works.

Some words have been removed and some definitions have been rewritten to fit modern terminology. If you're reading through documents or journals from this time period, you're better off trying to find a physical unaltered copy of this dictionary, if context and historical integrity means anything to you.

1 of my All time favorite resources!!! more satisfying than flipping pages and loosing bookshelf space.. A shame really we don't communicate with such vocabulary. And an injustice to our western hemisphere way of living how our words have been revisioned or other meanings ommited with no explanation and only noticed thanks to a thorough book synonyms...ijs
