Customer Service is trouble. Product was not shipped to the installer for my install. Waited another week for device to be installed. Paperwork was incorrect and have been on hold for hours trying to correct the problem. The chat option is no faster. Good Luck. New update. 10-24-24 Customer Service keeps you waiting for hours. Client portal is a waste of time. Every installer iv talked to says smart start is a joke. Look for something else.

Unusable. Requires login, both the username and password fields are bugged and do not render text. Meaning you can type your username and password but you can't see what you're typing. An absolutely mind-boggling bug that should have never made it to a release version of this app.

My daughter had this installed and her nor me can blow in it right to start the car. Now she has to get a doctor's statement say her lungs are not strong enough to blow. You have to blow and humm at the same time for 6 seconds. We can't do it and now we can't use the car. We sit there all day waiting for her husband to get there. Reading the reviews, i can see we made a mistake getting this one. Her hubby s having to drive it and do what it tells him.

I hate everything about Smart Start. When you call any of their provided contact numbers, it is nearly impossible to get a live representative on the phone. I thought downloading the client portal would be easier, but I cannot even register for an account. When I open the app and follow the prompts, it sends a registration link to my email. As soon as I click the link it says that the link is expired. I have been going in circles and my only other option is to call and get no real person to help

Yeah, you can pay smart-start, track your bill, etc, etc. But be cautious of paying for your actual car device through here as these payments are not ALWAYS the same as the ones you make on calibration days. So instead of making a required payment, they will simply take the app payment as EXTRA money down on your overall debt :) Decent app, needs to be more informative of what is being paid for on it though. My rating is mainly a jab at breathalyzer companies capitalizing on us.

Can't even make a payment on this "app" even though I've been told I need to use it to make a payment. Seriously? Clicked on "make payments" and it brought me to a screen where it said either...."delete payment method" or "start new payment method" even though my card info was already on there. Total effing scam. Called the number and got bounced around for awhile til I finally was able to talk to someone and they took my payment. How hard can it possibly be to take someone's money....seriously

Spent 1.5 hours on the phone trying to reach customer service. If you're looking to get the deviced installed you can get someone on the phone right away and then they keep bugging until you schedule an install. I finally gave up waiting and downloaded the app like their automated message said to do on the phone. Didn't find the info I was looking for on the app or the website. Noticed there was no icon for the app on my phone. Uninstalled, reinstalled, still no icon. Every IID company is trash.
