Since my last review, I noticed that the app does not record all motion. My Nest app shows a delivery man at my door and when I go on the Defender app nothing is recorded. There are "holes" in the recordings. This system is not reliable. I would not recommend it if you depend ona security system to record every event. It is a waste of money! Even though what you say, there are still lapses in recordings.

This app was working fine until the new update. Now my camera will notify me of movement but I can no longer click the notification and see what was recorded. It just says nothing was recorded. What is the point of this camera if you cannot go back to see the motion triggered recordings. Especially if something happens but you dont immediately click onto the notification.

App used to allow preview of a video by opening the first one in the list hitting pause then clicking the small icon to the right that would allow you to preview all of the loaded videos motion point now every video must be watched in order to see what is happening rather annoying when it might just be a bird flying through that is not visible on the preview picture I now find the app to be rather annoying because this saved a lot of time just scanning through previews

Response: i have, they are great. But it is less time-consuming to have an instruction manual. Takes time emailing back and forth when you u use site support. Update: Recently, the app completely changed. I would love to find a tutorial to use the app. Yes, it changed that much.

The new version on my Samsung tablet slowly and surely fills up the storage space and I'm not sure why. There are no settings that deal with storing data locally. And I'm not even sure why there would be anything stored locally. Never had this issue with the previous version.

The update I hate!! Use to record all day/ night. I'm missing a 6 min window where something happened. I use to beable to go back in history n see all day not is not recording. Hate this update. Damage to car but can't give anything to police cause it recorded up to incident. Starts recording after issue happened. Now the camera is a waste of money.

Accidentally deleleted EDITED previous review. [Edit: I was not aware that the local storage requires periodical manual formatting (rather than automatic overwrite) for new contents to be continuingly recorded. Problem solved. ATTENTION OTHER USERS, check setting and format it otherwise nothing is recorded except a snapshot in preview.]

Just like everyone else on here, the update to the firmware has been nothing but an issue. Inconsistent recordings, having to jump through hoops to reset cameras multiple times a days. Horrible products, horrible app, horrible service.
