Oppmerksomhet:Dessverre får appen stadig dårlige anmeldelser fordi kompasset eller åndsnivået ikke fungerer. Dette er da fordi enheten ikke har en kompasssensor eller en vippesensor. Used the app for two weeks on a Samsung A13 (android). The phone was mounted (with adhesive-no screws) to a wooden dovetail plate securing the phone 2 feet from any part of the tripod or mount. I no longer use it as I can get a better alignment by eyeballing north during daylight. The app never got me closer than 3 degrees azimuth. I always setup in the same place so alt is easy with a bubble level. Could be a phone problem but either way with no trial option you have to pay to see if it works.

I've been using this app for a couple of years now. Absolutely an indispensable part of my kit. I use this to get level on the tripod, get elevation on the saddle and finally get Polaris to the right location in the polar scope on my iOptron. I consistently get less than 20 arc-sec (yes, arc-seconds) of error which is easily within reason for short focal length, long exposure astrophotography. This speeds my setup process significantly! Love this app!

All in one except for compass/GPS reliance. This app is great when used for setting up astrophotography tripod. I only have two issues. 1. The compass is just useless. 2. I wish this didnt rely only on GPS for finding latitude. Would love to have a built in inclometer. Frustrating to be at a dark sky site and no signal which makes this app a glorified level.

I don't have a clear view of Polaris from my house, and using the beta feature dayalign seems to work really well. Using it, I can easily get tracked exposures of a minute without star trails. About as good as I could ask for without an actual polar alignment. The other features work well, pretty much all you should need to achieve alignment. One small gripe would be that the UI is not the slickest, but it does what it advertises well. Checked against an actual compass and it was spot on.

Compass is off by 15-20° using a calibrated device which shows within 0.1° via other compass applications. Developer offers refunds via email; Google play will not approve refunds. They're quick to contact, and seemingly stay on top of issues. Its other functions definitely function, but aren't accurate enough to be pertinent.

Using it to align the mount to the North and it's amazingly accurate on a Huawei P20 Pro. The GUI is really basic but that's okay as what it does is more important. I use it together with a polar scope but sometimes when I can't use the scope only this app gives very good results. I got fairly low amount of trailing with only the app on a 400mm lens. The key thing is let it stand a while to get more accurate GPS alignment and keep your phone away from metal surfaces.

A good app for me. I have to set up my mount everytime I use it. I have no polar scope, but the daytime alignment is extremely well thought out. Once i set up my mount, i just put smartphone in my home made holder and centre the crosshairs. On a good sky I recheck it and it am impressed with its accuracy. One niggle was I only found the instructions by accident, a link would be good.

please add ture noth daytime alignment with accutar level or bubble or number that indicate center perfect alignmrnt. Is best to show picture how to attach phone on the mount to do daytime alignment or night alignment..
