Initially I really liked this app, up until about a week or so ago after the last update. A few days ago the app would load and then just buffer while searching for the washer and dryer. I checked both and the wifi was still activated, they were running and the app just wouldn't pull anything up whatsoever. I un-installed it, and re-installed it, and now it won't get off the main Maytag loading screen. Un-installed and re-installed again, no luck. Pretty irritating.

So far it's not very smart... I've tried sharing with two family members and they downloaded the app and clicked the invitation link in the email and the app opens up and spins, nothing happens. It constantly has loading issues and states it needs an Internet connection, I have decently fast broadband upwards of 300 Mbps. I have also linked my account to Google Home and I never get speaker notifications even though I have that setting on. Please give your app some attention.

Doesn't work. And the dryer sensing leaves my clothes wet. I have to go down and restart multiple times. I hate that I upgrade my old dryer. What good is technology if it prevents it from working.

I have to mess around with this app and my 4 yr old maytag washer ever time I use it because it's crazy. the fill water sensors don't work half the time and if you don't watch it you'll only have 1/2 gal in you tub for all Your wash. $1200 and I have to babysit sit 🙄 I spend more time looking at my washer than I do at my kids! the machine will ONLYwork if I go through the app and it's still a 50/50 shot. Maytag make things better!

I was able to connect my washer, now the app doesn't see it anymore and won't let me add it.

My problem with the app is is why should I have to go to the washing machine or the dryer to make sure the remote enabled is on and it is on but yet I still can't start a cycle through the app. Being able to start a cycle while on the other side of the house or outside is why the app should even exist not having to go to the device to check and see that the "remote enable" is already enabled.

It's ok, saves me stair time, but needs work. I rarely have connection issues -good thing. I can be mowing and see how much time is left on each machine via the app. If I want to wait for a commercial break to traverse the stairs, I can send the dryer into a new cycle. What I don't like is if a washer load is off balance, the machine doesn't send an alert to the app "need a little help here!" It just keeps trying to rebalance a load wasting gallons of water.

The app experience for this smart device has been frustrating. One key issue is the multi-step process for remote start. Currently, I have to first activate remote enable on the machine, then select my preferences in the app, only to be prompted to confirm on the machine again. This adds unnecessary complexity and detracts from the convenience the app is meant to provide. Simplifying this process would greatly improve the user experience.
