Can never recommend any fieldpiece probes to anyone because of this app...especially with the price increase. Unreliable considering the app almost never works and then you are stuck with useless probes. update: in response the the developer...the probes do connect to the app when it works...which seems to be pretty sporadic. This review is on the app not the probes! The probes would be great if the app worked.

I love it when it works. The refrigerant probes are off sometimes. Get false pressure readings along with wrong superheat and sub cool temps. When they do work properly, SH and SC are usually off by 1-2*. That's my only complaint on these tools, the Psychrometer and manometer probes are usually acurrate.

It's good, but there are quirks. At one time, I would have to log in to the app... Every. Single. Time. Although that has been fixed, now when I try to do the trending for refrigerant or air temp conditions, it either goes back to the welcome screen, or crashes completely. I already have the latest update (as of this writing) from July 8, 2024, and the play store does not indicate that there is any update available. I don't want to do 'custom trending' every time, I prefer the regular trending.

So the random login issue appears to not have been fixed but if I may, might I suggest the possibility of doing a biometric login as that would make it not really an issue much anymore. Also, having to log in with a data connection just to view your tools is completely ridiculous except for the occasion where you would need to save the data. I would suggest doing a light version of this app or a light mode where you can just simply view the tools. Testo's app is much better in this aspect.

This should be a fast app to check digital gauges and tools. Fieldpiece is one more corporate data collecting decision away from making this app slower than grabbing nondigital gauges from my van.

Forces you to login to use your digital gauges. Which means that if you are in an area with little to no service, you effectively have a set of $800 paperweights.

While very useful, this app will randomly enforce your username and password after internet disconnections. I work in areas with spotty internet, the idea that I am forced to log in to use the tools I bought is rediculous. It's an otherwise good quality app, but it is frustrating to use due to this persistent issue.

Edit: there is nothing that states location and bluetooth must be on or the app will not connect. Also, if left unused for a long time (>1 month) it won't try to connect untilI uninstall and reinstall the app.
