They are 11 species feeding on leaf (Euproctis pseudoconspersa Strand, Gatesclarkeana idia Diakonoff, ect.), 9 species feeding on stem (Chreonoma atritarsis Picard, Casmara patrona Meyrick, ect.), 2 species feeding on fruit (Curculio chinensis Chevrolat, etc.). With the Lucid system, 102 characteristics were extracted contains 4 I-level feature groups, 10 II-level features and 18 III-level features, and all the feature status linking with the 244 HD pictures. The expert system provides flexible and effective keys for identification to serve the farmers and technicians.
