Dropping stars because issues are sometimes unreadable (Continue Reading is too granular and Redownload paper is broken. "Support" is no help. Yes I'm on the latest update. No, reinstalling does not help. Just escalate to someone with a clue already. Whrn it does work, the Star's ePaper is an excellent reader. The best. When it doesn't, it's frustrating and you will not get the help you need to resolve it.

Somewhat unreliable as it doesn't always download, and sometimes doesn't have the "blue headlines". The overall interface is good though. Could use links to full stories, which are available on the Star website version. Could use a search function, especially for all saved issues. And it's a good, authoritative newspaper, so we'll worth living with any glitches.

Sometimes, in single article full-screen reading mode, after side scrolling the article will later again appear, sometimes with a different byline. Today, with the latest version, the same download took several minutes, twice. None of the articles shown in the full page view had links. I re-opened the paper. None of the full pages had text; I saw placeholders for links. Edit: article dupes are an ongoing annoyance.

'The Star' app worked so much better, this one is a pain and I'd rather just have a paper version at this point. Scrolling thru stories just brings up the first paragraph then you have to download the ePaper then re search for the article it's annoying and time consuming. I would say discontinuing the star app was a mistake. This one sucks.

The news part is okay, I like being able to go to the rest of an article then back easily. I am disappointed that the puzzles cannot be accessed. They should be able to be either done in the paper app or downloaded to be done.

Garbage. Cannot look at an article unless you are signed in. I DO have a subscription and have attempted sign-in multiple times. I am continually told my credentials are incorrect (though I use same creds on the Star web page and the mobile app with no issue). There's no way in; no "display password", or "having trouble?" or "change password" option. Useless waste of space on my device. Deleting once this review has had a few days to be read.

Initial open in the morning is wonderful! Touch a title, pops out to text view for easy reading. Not sure why later opening doesn't always yield text view.. perhaps a work-in-progress?

I cannot open the article as you move on further on the page #. 2. March8,2022, always have to remember when reading business section and beyond, you have to magnify your page by manually increase the page size. 3.I would rather read the hard copy when ever possible. Reading on line IN NOT A PLEASANT experience. Very bad on the eyes. 4.there is no exit sign for this survey.Very poorly done.
