The app is really bad, it's slow af, it's blinding bright and has no dark mode. It should make your life easier, so when you open it asks you for your login credentials, often, instead of beeing useful. The controls are on the third, not first tab, no idea why they thought that controlling your device would be the third most important thing about the control app. Oh and it's slow, like serios you get a rolling waiting screen after any button you push either control or just ui.

Phenomenally bad experience, but I suppose you can't expect much when the Google Play app listing shows an iOS app. Requires phonecall and media storage permissions. Why? Who knows. They certainly don't explain it and won't let you go further without it, and I didn't bother giving it to them to try find out. If the user experience is this bad, who knows how bad their 'smart' device security is.

Requests excessive permissions access and now it says the current version in the play store is no longer supported. This should be a basic app, not a data mining tool. Since upgrading the app (that I can't open). I get continual air quality notifications. Update 6/15/2025. Updated app, still can't connect to the device. I guess I'll be forever locked into the schedule I set. This is piss poor customer support and the company should be embarrassed.

App is 0% functional. I just bought an Air Mega AP-1512HHS specifically because of the app feature (which is advertised quite explicitly on Amazon.). It costs significantly more than the model without that connectivity. I called Coway immediately upon realizing that the app is widely known to be broken. They quickly admitted that they know it doesn't work, and that they don't know if it ever will. Coway is asleep at the wheel!

Reading these reviews, it’s clear that opinions about the app are nearly unanimous. While the machines themselves are excellent, the app is a constant source of frustration. Issues like poor connectivity, frequent disconnections, and the difficulty of reconnecting make me want to take my $400 machine and drive it straight into the ground.

Backend broken for months, crippling device. HomeAssistant provides clue that auth token endpoint returns unspecified error. Coway's own app just fails, completely silently, returning to login screen. I can still change my password in the browser, but nothing more. Given that many features can only be controlled via app, this effectively bricks device. Oh well, yet another case of "beautiful mechanical engineering, incompetent software engineering" (plus locked down local control). :(

The app isn't *good* - it is slow, the login / register process is slow, and the UI overall is just bad. But it does get the job done and setup of the actual product with it is easy. I've not had the overkill permissions issue others have had, but generally speaking I would not recommend the app. Used it to setup the purifier and am then controlling it with Home Assistant instead

I love this air purifier (400s), but I don't understand some fundamental issues with this app. First and foremost, please, please, please allow me to disable sounds on this thing. It literally wakes up my kids it is so loud and I never need to hear a chime in the device when changing settings. The other issue is the app just doesn't understand how do roll out updates. Every other app just does them via the app store but they do it when you open the app, which is terrible because I only open the app when I want to use it right now.id much rather have the update happen while I sleep, automatically through the play store. Fix these two things and you've got a 5 star review from me!
