I have a galaxy S23+ and I receive ZERO notifications once I minimize the Park Chicago app. I've reached out to the support team and they have not been able to fix the issue either. The only way I receive notifications is when I manually open the app and then all the reminders pop up (which defeats the purpose of having reminders that your parking is expiring).

This app always seems to glitch when I try to extend my time. I added more time to my meter and clicked on Yes to accept the new total. It seemingly went through but when I got to my car, lo and behold, I had a ticket. If people rely on your app to not get tickets, you should reimburse them when it fails.

This app still sucks. It wouldn't let me log in for 2 years(hence the 2 stars). When it finally did... It asked me to update payment. When I checked my balance, the company had taken it all and left me with nothing. When I tried to add to my balance, the app asked for my payment info again.

Works as expected. I've been using this app everywhere and it does what I need it to do and that's to stop me from getting tickets. I'd pay the $ and fees to avoid a $60-75 ticket. Downtown Chicago parking is just a robbery to pay $8 for just two hours for lunch? Jeez! Still saves me $52-68 though. You get what I mean. It has a reminder to let you know that you have 10 minutes left before having to extend it, but the price is more expensive per hour. Definitely recommend this app.

Notifications are not working. You have to have the app opened to get them, (not running in the background), which defeats the purpose. Do not rely on the notifications. Set a side reminder on your alarm clock. Being the city of Chicago it wouldn't surprise me that they did this on purpose so you would run out of time and get a ticket.

I hate that it doesn't work right on my Samsung the way it does on my iPhone. On iPhone, I get the notifications that the session is expiring soon. For some strange reason on Samsung, the notifications are blocked and I can't access them. It's really frustrating because I'm risking getting a ticket because it's not functioning right.

The latest changes to the kiosks now require you to type in your plate number and state everytime you park. It's obvious that this company wants to make paying in-person as inconvenient as possible so that you have no choice but to download this app. The $0.35 fee for every transaction under 2 hours is absurd. Most of the time, I only need to park for 15 minutes, so the fee nearly doubles the price for me.

Does exactly what I need it to, and has never bugged out on me. Super convenient, and worth the extra nominal fee for that convenience. If you park at meters a lot, you need this app. There's nothing more satisfying than getting a notification that your time is about to run out, and adding more time while you're blocks away from your car.
