Laaa-aagg It lags. It has 5 seconds to load an article - if it even loads that is. The problem was before the last design update, which i do not like as it has too many UI elements. The lagged loading of ads move the whole screen, which is jarring. Please NZZ hire someone who actually uses the app instead of all the feature creep people.

Since the recent updates the app is incredibly buggy. Black space during scrolling, pages don't load, cannot click on article (no overlay)... Very unfortunate as the contentwise the newspaper would be of higher quality, but the mobile experience drives me away

Scrolling while touching an article may mark it "read" even if not opened. Slow startup. Too many ads. Last article text can often not be seen at the bottom of the start feed. Would be nice if the new ML based feed would not repeat articles scrolled past already.

Pro subscriber here. Unfortunately the new and improved app shows giant photos without a real title. The newspaper is great. Had to downgrade the app and block auto-updates. The idea when reading the newspaper is for analysis, not to click on pretty pictures and see what they are about. You could have left your (paying) readers the option to choose the interface. Imho espc. people who read the pro version want to scroll between titles, not pictures that take all screenspace. Yk, we can read.

Great articles but the app is buggy. There are constant white-outs where all the text disappears. Some articles have to be accessed via a browser where you have to log in again (why??). Being exposed to ads when you already pay for the newspaper is annoying, but ads that you cannot close and blackout the entire screen are unacceptable.

Position within the list of articles is remembered when exiting an article. thx for the bugfix!!! Now the only other thing that I don't like is the menu: the old permanent one at the top was better as 1) it didn't hide and 2) I could swipe left/right to change category without having to fiddle with the new small the menu bar & icon & categories list.

Sends data to facebook such as which pages were visited. Datacompression and load on demand was not a design goal, just opening the app creates a lot of traffic. Ads are high res pictures. Thus only for users with a mobile flat rate. Despite boasting data protection, it sends user data to a long list of data miners.

unusable and not working at all on my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact (E5823) with Android 7.1.1. The app always shows "page cannot be loaded". No content at all is shown and I cannot read any news. I did contact support with detailed information. They did inform me, they are aware of it and working on a solution, but the bug is still there a few weeks later. Very disappointed, I'm expecting a good, working app for the subscription I paid for.
