This app is easy to use and it’s extremely helpful. I’m fairly new to the harmonica, being able to look up scales on harp guru while playing over backing tracks is my favorite. The information on this app has saved me years of research. Now I can just practice and have fun. I highly recommend this app to any one looking to get better at playing the harmonica.

Extremely versatile app for learning the harmonica. Been messing about for 6 months not making much progress, after hearing about and buying this app I'm leaning on it pretty hard. Reference it just about every time I practice. Whether you are a beginner and just want help keeping track of what notes belong in the scale/song you're learning, or getting deep into music theory, harp guru is the app. The Creator is pretty active on Reddit, is very interested in feedback and improving the app.

This app is exceptional for practice, visualizing scales and modes, and discovering the possibilities of positional playing. I use it as a visual guide when tuning harmonicas, and I use it to show my students various patterns on their harmonicas. I love it! It has a LOT of alternate tunings built in as well, which is a huge plus for me!

It's a useful program to quickly remind yourself where all the scale degrees of all scales in all positions on each type of harmonica are. I just wish I could display blows on the bottom and draws on the top, and, ideally, bends in between them.

I just bought this app and am optimistic this will be useful in learning more about modes and scales. As a future update, I am hoping a pitch tuner could be added for practicing bends in the given scale. Harmonic Tuner does this well, but only provides the blues scale for each position.

Just what I was looking for, however it seems like the natural minor and harmonic minor harp layouts may be wrong, as Harp Guru shows the harp holes are 6 and not b6 (ie as shown the harps would be Dorian and melodic minor). The scale degrees are right, but the holes dont't match my harps. Otherwise, rad as hell!

I've actually only got one harmonica. This app makes me realise how much I could get out of it with a little practice. It also makes me want to buy some more though 😜
