Nothing about this app makes sense. It's full of information about what to do in NYC but has no information about my existing reservation, room amenities, or anything else. It has a habit of going into an infinite loop landing you on some random page that you don't need. This is an app that was designed by someone who never actually needs to use it. I would expect more from Virgin. Staying at the NYC location in 2 weeks and am anxious about whether they will have my reservation when I arrive.

I can't even create an account on the app because it says I failed recaptcha verification, which doesn't even appear on screen, I don't know whether or not it's even supposed to. So the app is unusable if you don't already have a log in made elsewhere. It clearly has not been tested extensively by anyone involved in building the app or over at Virgin Hotels.

Most of the reviews I see here are from 2021-2023. As of August 2024, everything about this app is still broken. It gets itself stuck in positive feedback loops and cannot complete basic tasks. If this app worked as advertised, I'd switch most of my hotel stays to Virgin where available. But it does not, so I will not. The app is a poor reflection on Virgin Hotels.

No way to login and manage booking from Australia as they don't accept "Virgin Red" memberships from outside the UK or USA and there is no other way to login, book and manage hotel bookings with them. Massive FAIL to the marketing team and app developers. Makes it useless to be available in app stores outside of those countries. If you can't have a Virgin Red membership in other countries, at least offer alternative methods for managing bookings within the app, this is a basic requirement.

I'm updating my previously negative review and changing 1 star to 5. After an initial misalignment between work & personal email addresses, a fabulous employee at the Chicago location straightened everything out. The app works well - check in through the app was quick, and it was easy to manage all of the controls for the room through the app.

This app was clearly not tested properly. Trying to go through ID verification crashes the app. You are prompted to download the app while you are already in the app itself. This takes you to a website, then back to the play store, then back the the app in a pointless circle. Navigation is poor.

Can't even log in. I've tried resetting my password multiple times and logging in from multiple devices, but it continues to indicate that we've entered an incorrect password. Sounds like I'm not the only one with this experience so I don't think it's an error on my part.

Could not use the app to checkin and had to stand in line one I got to the hotel. They had 3 people working back there. Everytime I wanted to check the bill or use the mobile key, it also did not work. They really need to hire a team that can get this mess working correctly.
