Android gives a lot of messages it is slowing down wifi. Messaging works and offline maps are useful. Also reports can't send message when none are qued. Also sqllite database errors over and over. The app needs some fixing. Update Oct 2024, app got a few updates but none of the issues described here are fixed.

I don't know if it's because of the most recent update, but the app is buggier than ever. It keeps trying to switch me between an old device and my new one. I've restarted my phone and reinstalled the app, but it's still so buggy. I used this in 2019 consistently and didn't have quite so many issues.

This app is incredibly buggy. It has to be restarted multiple times to view received messages, it does not send messages properly. It constantly tries to find the location of the Garmin even when the device is offline. The Garmin itself works just fine but this app is horrible. I've unfortunately been using it for about two years now and it's only getting worse.

App is horrible. Try to download a map area and it says it can't, so you zoom in and supposedly it downloads...not sure what it downloads but I guess it downloads something. So then you get back on the same area and zoom in and it's a map of absolutely nothing. I really don't know what the point of having it is... Delete!

This app does not sync your Garmin account trip tracks to the app. When I go to "Tracking" in Earthmate header nothing happens. There should be an option then to change to "show all" or "show date" just like online. Nope. You can go to Settings and try to select Track List, nothing happens. You can go to Total Track, nothing happens. You can sync, nothing happens. You can pair and unpair, nothing happens. You can't move the map in the Tracking section. The entire Tracking section is not working.

I've been using the app for about 5 years now, I've downgraded it to a 1 because they've yet to fix the many issues, often it will not show a message as sent even though I've got a reply from the person I sent it to, then when the app is started again it will resend it and I get charged twice, plus the person on the other end is confused, PLUS Garmin blamed me for not letting it complete the cycle even though it was on for days and other messages went fine. Unfortunately it's the app needed

app works but it is not the easiest to use, needs to provide more detail about status of satalite connection so not wondering about connection issues and delays. love being able to text when offshore so I'll accept the imperfection, it is still a fantastic service just needs a better front end. map share is less intuitive on the mini and the app could handle that feature better.

I have several waypoints loaded from the account on my device and computer. Wherever I try to connect to the inreach, it deletes everything!! How useless!! Can't sync the device with a Chromebook. When I do connect my phone and the inreach, it just sends me around in circles saying I need to connect to an account. I have logged in over and over again and nothing works.
