Probably one of the best network apps I've tried so far. It has all the options I want and more. Definitely made for more advanced network users compared to something like Google WiFi but I like that about it. It's shown me a lot about my network and what the outside is doing to my devices. Already blocked one malicious attempt at my network. I would recommend this to others.

Since updating the app my phone won't stay connected to my network. All other devices stay connected fine, and my phone stays connected to other networks. It even stays connected if I disconnect the firewalla device. This all started today after updating this app. The phone is not quarantined either. Nothing is in quarantine. It can connect for about 10 - 20 seconds max, then disconnects.

When I first set up firewall, I was able to connect to the router remotely. A few months back I tried to remotely connect to my router and it errors out. I emailed support and didn't hear from them. Another thing I was also able to login to my AP remotely and somehow lost that capability as well although this has nothing to do with Firewalla I imagine in a way it does. It's possible that after a change in versions might have changed the configuration/settings and now I'm unable remote connect

A lot of the recent updates have brought a smoother experience without being clunky. Enjoying the new features and hope they keep it like this so the learning curve stays easy. QR scan for setup never worked for me on my purple but did for my blue. Since I setup over Bluetooth anyway it never made a big issue.

I love the features and simplicity of Firewalla. There's nothing else quite like it on the market. But the hardware has not been reliable. I bought a Blue+ unit in 2021 and had a lot of problems with it before it finally failed. Only lasted about 2 years. I'm nervous to buy a replacement unit now and will likely go in a different direction 😟

Excellent app and device ! I bought the gold version of the firewalla box. I love it, and the kids hate it - very grainular control over what's allowed to happen and when on your network. The documentation is also excellent. My only issue is the inability to back up the firewall configuration to a SD or share.

Very good app and appliance, but I wish to there was a web based gui to manage. I wonder if cockpit would work.

I have the gold and I gotta say. I set it up as a router and used my gaming router as an access point. Works perfectly once one figured it all out. Great app. Can be a bit buggy on the refresh but seems to work well. New review I gotta say still 5 stars. I Have had zero issues with anything an easy update that would add to security for the phone itself would be biometrics or pin protection for the app. It would prevent anyone specifically children from even opening the app.
