No matter how you configure the notifications and alerts within the app you will continually receive sports alerts and/or notifications. I've had to completely disable notifications from this app at the system level which is really too bad. I would like to receive news alerts from a local news source. I just don't want any sports alerts at all and I want the app to respect my choices.

I thought by downloading this app would make it so I could see most of the news hour without watching it on television. It is a pain in the neck. At least on my laptop I could see the dates of the video and pull up current newsfeeds. Can't get a homepage either. Not user friendly.

Used to be a go to app for news but since they decided to throw in advertising when you open it , it's not so good anymore and I have asked questions about stories and never got a response from them ! Wcny is the place to be ! It's been a few years since I have been on the website but it's even better than the 2017 version

Worked great for a short time then froze and would not load. Uninstalled then reinstalled to see if that wod fix it, but nope. Restarted phone, still didn't work. Seems like it needs more bug fixes.

I suppose if your willing to settle for some of the news some of the time and getting the radar to work when the weather is good then the app is fantastic. I have always loved channel 9 . I don't know what has happened to journalism!
