The game is fun, if complex and harder to grasp than Catan. The problem lies in that the game's most basic menus and systems are fundamentally broken. I tried dozens of times to change my name, start a new game, or merely take my next turn, often met with irritating failure as the game didn't even bother responding. If you can fight through the issues, it's a fun game, but as is it's basically unplayable.

A very close cousin to Catan, certainly worthy enough to replace the *awful* Catan apps. It'd be nice to have a reference to explain the non-Catan mechanics of the game. Even after playing the tutorial, I still feel like there are question marks over my head about why things happen, how to do things, what things mean, or effective strategy tips. It's ad free, and that's one of my favorite things about it! **edit:** Thank you for the instructions link!

I found this game after watching a Youtube video of friends playing Catan. It is a fun game that's easy to play once you understand the rules. The fact that we can make and play custom maps is a plus. Literally endless replayability. After the update, I do want to note a couple of things. First, my phone's notification for invites only tell of the game but not what type it is (daily or live). Also, inviting recent players was working before the update. Now, the list won't even appear.

A better version of catan cities and knights than the original game. I discovered this app when my go to platform became so buggy it was unplayable, Now even if they ever fix it, I won't be going back. Took a few plays to understand the mechanics, the unlimited daily games is my favourite way to play. Less frustrating then constantly waiting for everyone to make their moves.

Update from 12.2023. I've kept the review where it is because the game is good when it works, but man it's so slow!. Even playing bots it can just hang when you're playing. Bots can time out / AFK sometimes. The lag is almost unbearable. You can see the delay in it registering what you've done. Speed it up, it will be much more playable.

Great turn based strategy game about settling land (similar to Settlers of Catan). You play versus bots or people. Each turn players roll dice to determine what resources received and use resources to build roads, towns, villages, ot to advance science, culture, politics. Each player receives points for things like building a town. First one to a predefined score wins. All this is very well executed. There are leaderboards. The game is a bit glitchy, freezes. I think it's server issues.

Like a different version of catan. My only issue is turns take a long time. Not because of how much there is to do, I think it's a programming issue. It's 30 secs for the computer to roll the dice and build when realistically it could be 1/3 of the time or less. Otherwise it's great. I think this will likely be addressed in an update

I play solo most of the time unless I have a family member that is around to play live. Please bring back the solo game button and make it easier to add multiple bots all at once. This last update doubled the number of clicks to play solo. I generally choose the same bots, so maybe a 'same as last time button option"? Remember, it's all about ease of use. This last update tried to condense the screen, probably reasons you did, but knowing which bot has longest road, etc is hard to see now.
