I wasn't overly sure what to expect in this but I bought it on a whim because I wanted to try it. 10/10 glad I did. Worth the purchase, there's ample content and things to do, dialogue is funny (funnier as a nerd), and has a good progression system. There's not really a learning curve, it's easy to understand, and the TBT combat doesn't make me want to smash my head against a wall.

Great game just has some balance issues at mid game. I finished most side quest to gold have done all the arenas then get stuck at one boss and he wipes the floor with me. You should not have to, mid game mind you, go mindlessly grind for hours just to level up. I did it for quite a while and no difference in fight. I'm not spending hours grinding I would rather just not play. No problem like this in any of the other games in the series.

I bought the game 2 weeks ago for android phone. I cant start the game. It freezes at the loading screen. Starts horizontal with the initial image, then the image flips vertical and then closes. I just want to play the game. No information about patches except the one from last week that seemed to have fixed it for some, but ive uninstalled and reintalled about 10 times since the last update and it has not repaired the game for my phone. Any update? EDIT- OCTOBER 30TH: still cant play!!!!

This is a valid attempt at an old school RPG. The gameplay is decent, storyline feels good... But the controls are kind of funky. The world is a grid, but the controls are kind of floaty. Swipe and stop to love and make menu selections- no tap to move or select menu options. The game feels fairly deep, but also feels like you need to have a clue before starting. The humor is borderline (tutorial enemy is sewer stink cloud thing) and it feels like a lot of effort went into this game.

Excellent game for the most part. Replayability is hurt by the need for constant costume changes as characters must be in the appropriate costume to perform certain actions to advance and that can only be done in certain places. That part gets tedious and makes starting over, especially before collecting all the costumes, feel like a real chore.

Years later I've come back to the games, first I replayed the original and it was still a 5/5 game. Then I replayed this one, bugs are gone but the game is still just so damn boring. Some areas require random things to happen, and then there are tons of difficulty spikes where grinding is the only answer. I couldn't recommend this 4 years ago and still can't.

It's a great RPG that makes me laugh even on my 2nd time through years later. I really like being able to change classes which make both combat and exploration more interesting. The controls are intuitive and work well enough for mobile (it's a mobile game people, of course the touch controls are a bit touchy). My only complaint are all the typos I've found in my current version, but that's not enough to knock a single star off of this excellent game.

Inferior to the original in every way. The menus are extremely clumsy, the humor isn't funny, the gameplay is grindy and slow, the story is very weak, and the mechanics... Relying on shared resources with limited capacity keeps a sense of balance, but then having to *farm* the resources is annoying... Navigating through maze areas gets old fast, especially when the bushes are almost the same color as the passable terrain... The best I could say is the difficulty level can get harder. Go original
