Oh this game... I enjoyed it but it's incredibly linear, the combat can be quite boring, but the story was intriguing enough and I just love the setting of it being modern time. Also there is a particular character in the game that made me glad I stuck through with the game. And other neat things happen that made me glad to stick through with it. So it's hard to rate the game as the combat, although interesting, was limited, and very linear, and not the most unique story. Hope for a sequel!

A game with solid music is and a great premise that goes on for twice the length of time, it needs to for its story. The battle system is smart, but hampered by the fact that it only feels like there's two real enemy types. You leave the game? Hoping that it's over as opposed to hoping that there is more.

Solid little RPG. Beat it in under ten hours. Fairly linear experience, but you'll keep wanting to play it. Hard to stop. Great retro graphics and music. Felt like I was playing an old school Sega game. Pretty easy. Almost never had to use serums, was able to save most of my ammo for boss fights. Worth 8 bucks, hope they make a sequel.

Had potential but fell flat. The story is boring and really easy to guess, not much going to separate it from other zombie apocalypse games. The battle system itself quickly becomes repetitive of the 5 hours I put in their wasn't much leveling and new skills for the characters, which are pretty common for KEMCO games. It kinda just felt like a game that was left unfinished in a lot of aspects.

The story and especially setting was good for the most part but the ending was lackluster and the battle system gets tedious. Had potential bit a lot of things need to be worked on like making it more compelling. I would like a sequel that's a significant improvement with the tedious battle system and a storyline that becomes more dynamic towards to the end

So far, the game is enjoyable. It is what would happen if square enix made a resident evil game during the super Nintendo era. Top down perspective, first person turn-based battles, plenty of rich dialogue, & a pretty compelling story. Great job. My only nitpick is that after I first installed the game it told me there was a 79 MB patch. This patch stalled out at 1 to 2% no matter what I did. My workaround was to force stop the game, then clear the cache and the storage, then open it again.

It's okay... I wanted to like it, but as many others have said: monsters are mostly the same. Bosses are the unique ones, and though there are different zombie types It's still repetitive. The plot isn't terrible, but the ending is very unfulfilling when you finally get to it. It's also very linear, nothing much to explore or find and if the story was good enough, it might work, but it's not. I wanted to quit playing after about halfway through but grinded it out so I could give a fair review.
Gaming In The Moment
Raging Bytes is a mixed bag. On one hand the actual gameplay is incredibly fun at least for the early part of the game. The decision making of choosing to fight one zombie vs squaring off against a horde is something that few games correctly capture. However, as the game progresses this becomes less and less of a bright spot in the game because zombie’s ranged attacks discourage you from engaging in the first place. At a price point of $7.99 I would have enjoyed something a bit more dynamic.
