This has a very annoying bug: you can't access it offline. (one star deducted). However. This seems like a great way to get into Cryptic Crosswords. There are many free puzzles and help if you get stuck on any. I'd have given it five stars if it would explain some of the cryptuc questions though!

A few glitches aside (trying to return to the menu usually crashes the app, and it keeps forgetting that I've paid for the full content; restarting the app always solves these issues) this is a great app, with puzzles that are accessible enough for a cryptic novice like me to get into but tricky enough to keep you occupied. In terms of value for money, the £5 subscription is a no-brainer really.

Was fine but now unplayable offline. Shame, as when on a flight and Google games fires up, or tries to and the crosswords are unplayable. Something changed, for the worse. Ok five stars again because it now works in flight mode once more.

Great level of difficulty for people who can't do the guardian cryptic but can manage a puzzler one. Good value for 300 puzzles. Some of the puzzles are a bit outdated since the death of the queen but once you know that you're grand. And it's all UK spellings for once.

The clues are very poorly written. Like the wording is like it was translated from a different language and wasn't checked after. A lot of them don't even make sense with the answer either. I didn't play it for very long..

Love cryptic crosswords. These are challenging but doable. Great that you can check or get help if needed. I enjoy these as much as the Times quick cryptic ones.

If you like cryptic crosswords, this is for you. Several free puzzles, and more to buy if you want. No popup ads that insist you watch them before you can get back to the puzzle. I have been able to give feedback by email, and there has been a quick response each time. Not for everyone, but just because you have never done cryptic crosswords before doesn't mean they are not for you. If you enjoy wordplay, you should try them.
A Google user
Very good puzzles that are really testing my brain and I am still on the free games. The interface is easy to use and have had no problems on my phone (Sony Xperia XZ1). There are some other comments that the clues don't match the answers, but I haven't found that to be the case. A couple took me a bit to work out, but it is meant to be a puzzle! Worth a try.
