One of the most annoying apps I use. If I open it and turn my screen off, it back out from the app,I get a notification that it's running in the background. To top it off, during tonight's cook, I didn't receive a notification that the internal temperature has been reached so my steak is overcooked. Probably going to delete the app and throw the product in the trash after this disaster

App is basic. Issue with product no longer connecting to my Pixel 8 phone. I re-installed, the app crashes. I am so disappointed with this product and associated app. I have the P920 model. Here's a hint: look at the 1&2 star reviews in Amazon about the product and the app. Look for the common issues and the frequency. There is your answer. BTW - this worked just until no longer warrantied. I used it occasionally.

Overall a good app. Two things: 1. Need a way to resume a smoke after the app closes. Sometimes I close it by mistake, other times it closes on it's own. Hate having to start a new session and losing the graph history. 2. Setting ambient temp limits with the sliders is INFURIATING! The slider always jumps when I lift my finger. Give me a box to type it in or up and down arrows to increment it.

Thank you for creating save files. And for updating some of the audio issues. You still have an annoying ding everytime the screen is turned off (app running in background) which prompts turning the screen on again to check the notification before turning it off to return the phone to a pocket with the touchscreen off. Annoying feedback loop.

The app functions well for the most part. As stated in other reviews, the time to reach temp is usually off. Can't really fault thermopro for that since every cook is different. The alarm features are nice and the app maintains connection to the device really well. I really wish they'd add a dark mode option. Looking at the app while in the dark is like looking at the sun. Overall, a good app and great products.

Does not seem to keep cooking parameters if the app disconnects from the thermometer. Update: Data is also lost when the app closes and reopens, including timers. It would be much better if the app kept persistent data about a cook, even when the app goes out of range of the thermometer. Otherwise, cooking time estimates are lost, as well as any ongoing timers.

Not sure if it's the app or the device but the temp jumps up and down. Causes the alarm to sound repeatedly as the temp hits the target temp then dips below it several times. Makes me question how accurate the reading is, so I have to temp meat with my pocket thermometer. When setting the target temp, the arrows are super sensitive so it's tough set it to the degree you want. Has very good range. Other than that the device and app are pretty garbage. I won't buy another ThermoPro product.

Update9/12/24: I got the new Samsung 24Ultra a few months ago and the app only crashes. I turned off power saving, and have Un installed and reinstalled .... What the heck!? : So far I love it after 1 year. I'm looking at buying the Twin temp spiked. Am I going to need a different app?
