I really like the app in that it keeps track of my runs, distance, elevation skied, and so forth. It also provides the ability to compare with my friends. *** BUG *** on the Android version of the app, if I edit my runs, and save the changes that I've made, the changes do not save. Now my friends are going to give me s*** for the rest of the season because my top speed skiing was 70 miles an hour because I forgot the turn off recording at the end of the day and drove home.

It pains me to say this, I've loved slopes for years, but this seems like another case of iphone people who think they are all that exist. It took years for then to port the app, which I've used in an iphone with zero issues for years. I coke on this trip with my samsung note 20 ultra, and the app Is the worst thing I've seen in a while. It constantly tells me I have no GPS when I clearly do, and then it never records. When it does it records the most random stuff. Fail of a port.

I am also an ex-Trace Snow user - I most enjoyed that it showed the most important stats and kept track of each season. Slopes is doing a good job at replacing Trace. I've seen a lot of improvement over the last year on the Android version. I was also shocked at how little battery it used. Last season I ran Sportler, Ski Tracker, and Slopes for the same session. Slopes is more expensive but it has the best features - separating runs from lifts, good maps, good stat tracking. It was nice to get a summary email of my session at the end of the day. I'm excited to see it continue to improve. Now I have to go back to the Trace website and export all my sessions, then import them to Slopes...

Misses a lot of runs and data. Rode with multiple other people on exact same runs all day and it gives completely different results between us constantly. Using Samsung S22 all permissions given and settings optimized for the app to work as designed. Will work fine one day and then not the next day at same Resort. It starts recording fine and then miss hours of riding randomly. Paid for full ver and def not worth it. It is a cool app to use with friends when it works, unfortunately it does not.

App looks great, and when it works, it is. But frequently doesn't get a GPS location or doesn't record the run. I e. Today fitbit sense (hike activity), pixel 5 Google maps, Google Fit ski records. Slopes recorded the skate to the lift for 1 run, and all all the next 5 lifts but not a single run getting down. Makes no sense. The iOS version every one raves about. Hopefully some more effort is put into android.

Excellent support and they are concerned about YOUR privacy!! I used to use alpine replay which then rebranded to trace snow. Trace snow stopped working a few years back and I had data going back to 2011. This app allowed me to import that data from trace snow so I didn't have to lose my lifetime stats. Whenever I have an issue and notify their support they are prompt, friendly, and more importantly, address/fix my issue.

Consistently does not work, even after receiving help from the support team. I've taken about 40 runs with the app on and it hasn't recorded a single one properly (and most not at all). Good design and features, but just plain doesn't work on Android phones, at least. (My partner has an iPhone, works fine on that.)

App works great as long as you don't have any settings to save your battery turned on. It won't record while battery saving mode is engaged. You also need to make sure you shut it off before you leave the resort. I got home and realized it was still recording so my fastest run turned out to be driving on the highway. The only thing I would add to this would be some kind of interface for a smart watch so I can check my stats without pulling my phone out of a pocket.
