app is alright, I've been using it for about a year now with my sylvania smart+ bulbs. been using mostly older sylvania products before then like the discontinued Lifeline bulbs and some of their ceramic starters before I even considered using the LED stuff they have. had problems with this in the beginning, but once you figure it out it's a lot easier than one would think. you can even use images in your photo library to get the desired colors you want.

This app has gotten a lot better. It'd be nice to see some more quality-of-life features in terms of programming scenes and automation. I use both Sylvania's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi bulbs so I use both apps (Bluetooth at work where the Wi-Fi bulbs would be hard to get on the WLAN). Unfortunately, each app has some strengths that the other one lacks. Lastly, I log some of my coworkers into my account for this app and they never see all of the same bulbs linked to my account, somehow

Got the Sylvania Bluetooth plug for in the bedroom at an store as the last one marked down for 3$. I like how I can turn it off and on with my phone but I don't like how it doesn't work with the Sylvania WiFi app. I was hoping to at least be able to turn it on or off on the go. For smart plugs I recommend the kasha ones because you can use them anywhere set timers and I think they can be connected to any kinda of network range. Defently Won't be buying anymore Sylvania ones.

The app is just terrible. There is no timer functionality whatsoever, so no scheduled on/off or random on/off, which is just inexcusable for a smart bulb in 2024! Home automation software had this functionality 40 years ago! App also gives no visual indication in the app itself as to whether a bulb is on or off at the moment, so if you can't physically see the bulb, you won't know its status. Just really basic features that are glaringly absent! The app just ruins an otherwise high quality bulb!

I think they call it smart because if you don't have a high IQ you won't get it working or keep it working. I had it working one day and then couldn't connect to it the next. After uninstalling the app, restarting my phone and reinstalling the app I was able to get it working again and got it connected to Google. I've never had a very good experience with Sylvania. I vow never to buy one of their products again. I have better things to do than mess with poorly designed products.

This is the most dogshit app I've ever used in my life, especially for Bluetooth Sylvania devices. It worked once. One time I got to connect and set the color of my lights, never again. Stuck on low brightness red. It will not for the life of itself find the lights when trying to connect with Bluetooth. My own phones normal Bluetooth settings page can identify the lights instantly, the app however, fails. Just loads and loads and loads never to find the lights. Tried normal connection. Nope.

Brightness not maintained. During setup the bulb is nice and bright with bold colors. Once setup and attempt to select colors on the color wheel. The bulb dims to 1%, even if I put it to 100% light seems to only get maybe 40 to 50% of the brightness it was during setup. I did the set up 3 times. All with the same results. Guess I'll be deleting the app and returning the bulb. Oh and the community website on the manual takes me to a non working website.

Firmware update causes complete loss of control function. Requires you to set up your devices all over again including resetting and re-creating groups, connections to Alexa, etc. App randomly prompts with "Token expired" requiring you to log in every time you want to control your devices. Device names are randomly forgotten requiring you to figure out which is which and setting them up again - renaming, adding to groups, resetting on Alexa, etc, etc. And renaming the app? FFS.
