Deleted my account while I was out on vacation. Turns out that there is no blockage to use the app and connect your lights, but if you do not validate the account until a few days they just delete your account. All the configuration is gone!! Bought this to keep an eye on the lights while out and now I can't do it. I am incredibly disappointed!! Certainly the first and last time I use their products!

Oct 29 2024: A light strip is forced to monochrome when using the visualize effect. It's supposed to react to music played (mic input), which it does. But while using that effect, you cannot have different parts of the strip have the different colors that you are otherwise able to configure. 2/1/23: 1. A pre made effect doesn't work with 2 (brand new) LIFX bulbs. 2. You can't make your own effects. This alone is a big problem. There are so many more.

The supposed fix for the visualization running in the background still does not work. Samsung S23 w/ android 14. Took the second update, which was 400 and some kb, and it still does not work. May want to sub the programming out to someone who can fix it. October 3, 2024, and still when the screen goes off on the phone, so does the visualizer. Nov. 2024, and it is fixed.

Had I known how broken this app was, I would not have purchased a bunch LIFX lights and "smart" switches. Now that I'm stuck with them, I ended up setting up Home Assistant just to get some sense of sanity when it comes to using these lights. With all the device responsiveness issues (specifically in the LIFX app) and the complete inability to add new matter-based lights via the app, I am confident that I will never purchase another LlFX product again.

Since I bought these lights I've had issues with the app not loading when first opening, requiring a force close and reopen. Yesterday one light has lost connection to the network as its unavailable in the app and Google Home, even after power cycling. It's funny how I 'upgraded' to these from a cheaper brand, hoping for better color options and wider range of white temperatures. In reality, I've now got lights with essentially the same color and light output, but also are harder to control👎

Enjoy being woken up after a power outage to full brightness! They said back in 2016 they'd fix it. Well..I never bought another Lifx, never will. May be the worst laid out app I've used for smart home items. Navigation is confusing and clunky..spent forever trying to figure out where to change the wifi network. The search continues

The app has serious difficulties connecting the bulbs to android devices. This coupled with non responsive customer service (no phone number) and zero to help in troubleshooting the issue makes it a 1 star app & 1 star product at best. Fix your app! 5 years later, nothing has gotten better and bulbs have all gotten worse. Some still don't connect or constantly lose connection while others no longer can turn white (blue hue instead), probably why warranty is so short on their products.

Dunno what happened but the app has been taking forever to show my light on the main page of the app. I can use FX effects just fine, so that indicates the light is working properly and is connected. But when it comes to the main page of the app, my light doesn't show for anywhere between 5-30 minutes.
