App crashes constantly, and I can't understand why it can't cast the video to another device like a smart TV or Nest Hub. That last bit really limits how useful this app is. Also, when trying to live stream on the phone, it doesn't stop the screen timeout so it will constantly lock the screen and stop the video if you don't keep touching the screen. Kinda useless.

Love the concept. Sadly, very glitchy. Times out every minute or two while casting using Chromecast. Sound garbles between normal and mute. App ads are independent of content you are watching, which has its own ads and may not pause for the app ads (which apparently can't be eliminated). Etc., etc., etc.

I really like being able to read news stories on the go, but half the time it is impossible to do so due to all the ads and pop ups you have! Just as I am starting to load and read the story, my screen goes white from all the ads and the story goes away and never comes back! I will back out and try to re read the story, and it does the same thing. I know ads pay the bills, but when you can read a story, and heck ALL the ads go away due to overload, what's the point?

The app is slow to start up. Handy for watching WGN TV weather when sheltering from storms where there's no TV. I think the notifications would be more useful if we could select and deselect breaking news by category: local, national, city, suburbs, sports, politics, crime, health, etc. As it is now, breaking news sends my phone too many alerts so I have deselected it.

This app is now terrible. When I follow a link it will partially load then become totally unresponsive, the screen grays out. I'll back out and close the app then it might totally load. I've deleted the app a half dozen times and reloaded it but that only fixes the first visit back. It's a pain in the butt. Their weather app works great. All the other apps work fine.

The stream never loads or starts as it should. Continually prompted to click on a link to view the live stream via the WGN website, making the app unnecesarry, and just taking up space on my phone. Also, I continually receive a "notification" error message when launching the app. I just learned through experimenting that ALL notifications need to be set to "on" to stop the message from appearing when the app is launched. Stopped using it after enjoying it for many years. As another reviewer notes, a live stream basically goes to sleep on you after a few minutes. This never happened before, and I haven't made any changes to settings on my phone. And no, I'm not about to change my sleep settings on my entire phone when this is literally the only video-streaming app that falls asleep on my phone!

My experience is that when I first installed this app it worked PERFECTLY then recently when I attempted to watch the early morning B team crew EVERYTHING is different. The screen has to be tapped every few seconds to keep the feed on !! So U ruined a perfect app and as someone else said rendered it useless !! For heavens sake...PUT IT BACK
